Ultraphonix "Baptism" Official Full Song Stream - Album "Original Human Music" OUT NOW!

04:45
Get the album here: https://ultraphonix.lnk.to/OriginalHumanMusicPR earMUSIC is delighted to announce the worldwide release of the debut album by ULTRAPHONIX, the new creation of Corey Glover (Living Colour) and George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob) alongside the great rhythm section formed by drummer Chris Moore and Pancho Tomaselli on bass. Original Human Music is co-produced by Bob Daspit (Sammy Hagar) and it displays the magic match between Corey Glover's iconic voice and George Lynch's unique style on the guitar. The core and value of ULTRAPHONIX lies in the songwriting and the quality of the songs. Original Human Music is an album where Corey’s profound and thoughtful lyrics sound loud, together with the warm and heavy wall of sound created by George Lynch. All sustained by a rhythm section that can go anywhere musically. To quote Lynch: “The album sounds like a fusion of early Chili Peppers meets King Crimson meets Judas Priest! It’s a super fun band.” Drawing on (very heavy) rock, funk and jazz influences, the band paints a picture of a band still believing that social consciousness could be celebrated through great rock songs. On Friday, May 18th, the first single “Walk Run Crawl” will be available as digital download and stream. ULTRAPHONIX’s first video clip will be made available through earMUSIC’s official Youtube Channel. 1. Baptism 2. Another Day 3. Walk Run Crawl 4. Counter Culture 5. Heart Full Of Rain 6. Free 7. Rock Hard Vol. 357 mit Kreator-Titel, CD + XL-Poster!

08:06
Außerdem erwarten euch u.a. folgende Storys: - Alexandra Michels bittet "Schnittchen" (O-Ton Michels) Doug Aldrich (THE DEAD DAISIES, Ex-WHITESNAKE) zum Schwatzkasten-Gespräch. SAINT VITUS und THE OBSESSED). Außerdem von Felix: Ein dreiseitiges Special zur "Geburt des Rock'n'Roll". Hell yeah! Die weiteren Interview-Themen des Heftes: RIK EMMETT * DROPKICK MURPHYS * PAIN OF SALVATION * DESERTED FEAR * RANGER * LORD VIGO * FIREWIND * WARPATH * THE NEAL MORSE BAND * BLACK ANVIL * JACK RUSSEL'S GREAT WHITE * ALL HAZE RED * ANGEL DUST u.v.m. Plus Live-Reviews von u.a.: RAGE * CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX * THE ANSWER * THE DEAD DAISIES * KILLING JOKE * ALTER BRIDGE * GOJIRA * KVELERTAK * LONG DISTANCE CALLING * Ruhrpott Metal Meeting 2016 u.v.m.

AC/DC Tribute - Erin Alden - Let Me Put My Love into You

04:01
From the cd Backed in Black. Acoustic versions with female voices. --- Female acoustic versions of AC/DC songs? Yes, it's a gimmick, but it works on its own terms. And it's a sweet irony, considering AC/DC's music has always been macho, swaggering boys' anthems. So what happens when you put an army of Lilith Fair-ready female artists to these tunes? Something pretty good, actually. In fact, the best track on here is the opener, Sunny Hodge's unbelievably sweet, feminine "Hells Bells". The original, with its spare, ominous electric guitar riff and slow grinding groove, is the last song I'd expected to work in this context, but Hodge turns the riff into an almost primitive-blues acoustic riff while her thin, sweet voice turns the cock-rock lyrics into something so bizarre, you just have to grin. Single-name artist Patty does a good job turning "Highway to Hell" into a country-rock busking tune (I've sung that song with this arrangement, myself), and Leslie King is also great on "You Shook Me All Night Long". "Back in Black", though, suffers from cover artist Reyo Bikkin's inability to hit those Brian Johnson high notes on the chorus, rendering those feral "Back in black!" hooks rather flaccid. Strange and weirdly interesting. My big gripe is that, excluding the two "bonus tracks" ending the disc ("Highway to Hell" and "For Those about to Rock"), they did every song off the Back in Black album, thus rendering the song selection very limited. Imagined if they'd had someone do "Rising Power", "Thunderstruck" or "Let There Be Rock" with an acoustic guitar and female vocals! Review written by D. Mok, is available on amazon.com --- Check out the other tracks. 1. Hells Bells - Sunny Hodge 2. Shoot To Thrill - Marmalade 3. What Do You Do For Money Honey - Nikki Boyer 4. JOHN MAYNARD KEYNES: The Economic Consequences of the Peace FULL Audiobook

05:41:52
JOHN MAYNARD KEYNES: The Economic Consequences of the Peace FULL Audiobook - The Economic Consequences of the Peace (1919) is a book written and published by John Maynard Keynes. Keynes attended the Versailles Conference as a delegate of the British Treasury and argued for a much more generous peace. It was a bestseller throughout the world and was critical in establishing a general opinion that the Versailles Treaty was a "Carthaginian peace". It helped to consolidate American public opinion against the treaty and involvement in the League of Nations. The perception by much of the British public that Germany had been treated unfairly in turn was a crucial factor in public support for appeasement. The success of the book established Keynes' reputation as a leading economist especially on the left. When Keynes was a key player in establishing the Bretton Woods system in 1944, he remembered the lessons from Versailles as well as the Great Depression. The Marshall Plan after Second World War is a similar system to that proposed by Keynes in The Economic Consequences of the Peace. The book was released in late 1919 and became an immediate bestseller on both sides of the Atlantic: it was released in the US in 1920. The scathing sketches of Wilson, Lloyd George and Clemenceau proved to be very popular and the work established Keynes' reputation with the public as a leading economist. In six months, the book had sold 100,000 copies with translations into 12 languages. It restored Keynes' reputation with the Bloomsbury Group which had been tarnished by his work for the treasury during the war. Keynes returned to Cambridge to work as an economist where he was regarded as the leading student of Alfred Marshall.(summary adapted from wikipedia.org - Attribution: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Economic_Consequences_of_the_Peace&action=history) - SUBSCRIBE to Greatest Audio Books: http://www.youtube.com/GreatestAudioBooks - Become a FRIEND: Facebook: http://www.Facebook.com/GreatestAudioBooks Google+: - READ along by clicking (CC) for Closed Caption Transcript! - LISTEN to the entire audiobook for free! FILM DESCRIPTION: Based on William Goldman's novel of the same name, The Princess Bride is staged as a book read by grandfather (Peter Falk) to his ill grandson (Fred Savage). Falk's character assures a romance-weary Savage that the book has much more to deliver than a simpering love story, including but not limited to fencing, fighting, torture, death, true love, giants, and pirates. Indeed, The Princess Bride offers a tongue-in-cheek fairy tale depicting stable boy-turned-pirate Westley's journey to rescue Buttercup (Robin Wright), his true love, away from the evil prince (Chris Sarandon), whom she had agreed to marry five years after learning of what she had believed to be news of Westley's death. With help from Prince Humperdinck's disgruntled former employee Miracle Max (Billy Crystal), swordsman Inigo Montoya (Mandy Patinkin), and a very large man named Fezzik (Andre the Giant), the star-crossed lovers are reunited. Calling All Cars: Hit and Run Driver / Trial by Talkie / Double Cross

01:25:52
The radio show Calling All Cars hired LAPD radio dispacher Jesse Rosenquist to be the voice of the dispatcher. Rosenquist was already famous because home radios could tune into early police radio frequencies. As the first police radio dispatcher presented to the public ear, his was the voice that actors went to when called upon for a radio dispatcher role. The iconic television series Dragnet, with LAPD Detective Joe Friday as the primary character, was the first major media representation of the department. Real LAPD operations inspired Jack Webb to create the series and close cooperation with department officers let him make it as realistic as possible, including authentic police equipment and sound recording on-site at the police station. Due to Dragnet's popularity, LAPD Chief Parker "became, after J. Edgar Hoover, the most well known and respected law enforcement official in the nation". In the 1960s, when the LAPD under Chief Thomas Reddin expanded its community relations division and began efforts to reach out to the African-American community, Dragnet followed suit with more emphasis on internal affairs and community policing than solving crimes, the show's previous mainstay. Several prominent representations of the LAPD and its officers in television and film include Adam-12, Blue Streak, Blue Thunder, Boomtown, The Closer, Colors, Crash, Columbo, Dark Blue, Die Hard, End of Watch, Heat, Hollywood Homicide, Hunter, Internal Affairs, Jackie Brown, L.A. Confidential, Lakeview Terrace, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Life, Numb3rs, The Shield, Southland, Speed, Street Kings, SWAT, Training Day and the Lethal Weapon, Rush Hour and Terminator film series. The LAPD is also featured in the video games Midnight Club II, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, L.A. Noire and Call of Juarez: The Cartel. The LAPD has also been the subject of numerous novels. Elizabeth Linington used the department as her backdrop in three different series written under three different names, perhaps the most popular being those novel featuring Det. Lt. Luis Mendoza, who was introduced in the Edgar-nominated Case Pending. Joseph Wambaugh, the son of a Pittsburgh policeman, spent fourteen years in the department, using his background to write novels with authentic fictional depictions of life in the LAPD. Wambaugh also created the Emmy-winning TV anthology series Police Story. Wambaugh was also a major influence on James Ellroy, who wrote several novels about the Department set during the 1940s and 1950s, the most famous of which are probably The Black Dahlia, fictionalizing the LAPD's most famous "cold case", and L.A. Confidential, which was made into a film of the same name. Both the novel and the film chronicled mass-murder and corruption inside and outside the force during the Parker era. Critic Roger Ebert indicates that the film's characters (from the 1950s) "represent the choices ahead for the LAPD": assisting Hollywood limelight, aggressive policing with relaxed ethics, and a "straight arrow" approach. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LAPD

The Great Gildersleeve: Christmas Shopping / Gildy Accused of Loafing / Christmas Stray Puppy

01:27:26
Premiering on August 31, 1941, The Great Gildersleeve moved the title character from the McGees' Wistful Vista to Summerfield, where Gildersleeve now oversaw his late brother-in-law's estate and took on the rearing of his orphaned niece and nephew, Marjorie (originally played by Lurene Tuttle and followed by Louise Erickson and Mary Lee Robb) and Leroy Forester (Walter Tetley). The household also included a cook named Birdie. Curiously, while Gildersleeve had occasionally spoken of his (never-present) wife in some Fibber episodes, in his own series the character was a confirmed bachelor. In a striking forerunner to such later television hits as Bachelor Father and Family Affair, both of which are centered on well-to-do uncles taking in their deceased siblings' children, Gildersleeve was a bachelor raising two children while, at first, administering a girdle manufacturing company ("If you want a better corset, of course, it's a Gildersleeve") and then for the bulk of the show's run, serving as Summerfield's water commissioner, between time with the ladies and nights with the boys. The Great Gildersleeve may have been the first broadcast show to be centered on a single parent balancing child-rearing, work, and a social life, done with taste and genuine wit, often at the expense of Gildersleeve's now slightly understated pomposity. Many of the original episodes were co-written by John Whedon, father of Tom Whedon (who wrote The Golden Girls), and grandfather of Deadwood scripter Zack Whedon and Joss Whedon (creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog). The key to the show was Peary, whose booming voice and facility with moans, groans, laughs, shudders and inflection was as close to body language and facial suggestion as a voice could get. Peary was so effective, and Gildersleeve became so familiar a character, that he was referenced and satirized periodically in other comedies and in a few cartoons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Gildersleeve
