Modern gold trommel wash plant in Myanmar 2018 Year

01:37
Supplied from China mining machinery company, the video was took in early 2018 year, in Myanmar. rated 100 tons per hour capacity. A gold trommel is a piece of mining equipment that is quite popular and is used all around the world on all different sized mining operations. When gold bearing material is added to the hopper, it is washed down by jets of water to break up the material and help release the gold. There are different designs and amounts of water jets used, but the ultimate goal is to completely break apart any clays and mud that could retain placer gold and prevent it from being caught in the sluice. The trommel itself does not separate out the gold. It is simply used to help separate and classify out the material for further process. On larger operations, the trommel is generally incorporated into an entire wash plant setup, so that the smaller material that drops through the trommel is run through is simple sluice system to capture the heaviest materials and discharge the lighter sands. Recovering the gold that has been processed is the same as for any other sluice box. Collect the concentrates and use some type of fine gold recovery system to complete the final process and separate the gold. the gravity extraction equipment, such as centrifugal gold concentrator, vibrating/ pulsating sluice box, common sluice box, shaking table etc.

IL&FS: Construction and Demolition Waste Management Facility, Burari

05:28
As Delhi grows, the infrastructure projects like construction of roads, flyovers, metro routes generate large quantities of Construction & Demolition (C&D) waste. This increases further due to the vertical growth in the residential. The city of Delhi itself generates 4000 to 5000 Tons Per Day (TPD) of C&D waste. The unsegregated municipal waste (often mixed with the C&D waste) gets finally dumped to the various dumpsites of the cities, low lying land for a price, in public land or along the roads, ridge areas(which are city’s green lung)or river banks in an unauthorized manner. Such dumping strewn across the city chokes surface drains, disrupts traffic, pollutes water and is an eyesore on the urban landscape. It has been also reported that the dust from construction activities contributes to Particulate Matter. Combined with burning of waste and road dust, C&D waste contributes to over 20% of air pollution in Delhi. Recycling of C&D waste is likely to ease this pressure by reuse of a major portion of the waste generated. In this context, an initiative by North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NMC) with IL&FS Environment is a ray of hope shining through the blinding construction debris in the Nation’s Capital. This unique project at Burari (Jahangirpuri) is based on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework. It is India’s first large scale operational C&D recycling facility. The plant is compliant with MSW, 2000 Rules and was originally set up to manage 500 TPD of C&D waste. Recognizing the pollution abatement capability of the facility, Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) enhanced the project’s capacity to 2000 TPD. Currently, the facility scientifically processes 1200 TPD of C&D waste. The technology for the plant was adapted to suit the C&D waste generated in India. The wet processing technology incorporated at the Burari plant to minimize dust and noise pollution. The facility gets mixed C&D waste from 28 designated points in 3 zones (Karolbagh, Sadar Paharganj & City) of North Corporation. Once ta the plant, the waste is segregated into big concrete pieces, mixed C&D waste as per size and unrecyclable materials like plastic, wood etc. The wsate is crushed, washed and is recycled into aggregates, which is in turn are converted to Ready Mix Concrete (RMC), Cement bricks, hollow bricks, pavement blocks, kerb stones, concrete bricks and manufactured sand. The products have been tested in various laboratories and found to be suitable for usage in various ways. The facility uses recycled water for processing waste. The plant is able to recover and recycle about 95% of incoming C&D waste. The facility has ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 and SA 8000 (i.e; Social Accountability) certifications. The plant has processed more than 15 lakhs tons of C&D waste since its inception in 2009. The waste would otherwise have been dumped illegally in Yamuna and other environmentally sensitive zones. Using of recycled aggregate in this process reduces the consumption of fresh stones and sand, thus conserving our Natural resources and helping in reducing sand mining. Besides helping in reducing water and air pollution, the plant reduces the burden on the landfill/dumping sites of the city and saves precious urban land. More than 25% of the total solid waste generated in India is coming from the construction waste alone(ref. Central Pollution Control Board - CPCB) report). With the rise in air pollution related health (respiratory) problems and judicial interventions, the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) face enormous pressure. The National Green Tribunal has also issued notices in this regard. In light of these problems, it is vital to have replicable models like the successful C&D waste management project at Burari. The project has provided a paradigm shift from illegal dumping to scientifically processing and recycling of C&D waste. UN World Water Day focuses on nature-based solutions

01:58
“The answer is nature.” That’s the theme of the UN’s 25th annual World Water Day on March 22. This year’s theme explores how nature-based solutions can help control global water challenges, such as flooding and droughts. At Barrick, we’re committed to managing water responsibly, collaboratively, and transparently, and we recognize that our obligations start before we build a mine and continue long after a mine closes. We design long-term solutions that are good for the environment and the communities where we operate, and, increasingly, we look for ways to incorporate natured-based solutions into our activities. But first... What are nature-based solutions? Nature-based solutions involve using natural materials or green infrastructure to manage water. For example, in the Dominican Republic at our Pueblo Viejo mine, we use coconut mats made in local communities to help stabilize reseeded and remediated slopes. We re-seed these slopes with native plants and grasses to prevent erosion and flooding. The mats keep the seeds from being exposed and washed away by rainfall, and provide seedlings with nutrients once they biodegrade. To safeguard water quality at our Bullfrog closure site in Nevada, we used earth to backfill the mine’s open pit area, preventing water from entering the open pit and potentially impacting the surrounding environment. To see these examples and our water management in action, check out the video above.

The concept for this first-of-its kind machine was introduced at MINExpo 2012 as an alternative to 550t-700t hydraulic excavators, which will reduce total cost of ownership by 10%-15%. This cost advantage is comprised of: Up to a 25% reduction in fuel consumption 5%-10% reduction in maintenance and repair costs 1%-3% increase in availability These savings are enabled in a large part by the JOY SR Hybrid Drive system, which was transitioned to the design of the 2650CX from P&H Generation 2 wheel loaders. Switched reluctance (SR) technology captures the energy naturally regenerated in swing deceleration and hoist lowering. The low maintenance SR motors act like generators to capture and distribute energy back into the systems powering the machine’s main motions, which reduces the use of hydraulics and significantly decreases diesel fuel consumption. Robust structures and the twin handle, rack and pinion crowd system proven on P&H shovels have been leveraged to increase reliability. The hydraulically articulated clamshell bucket allows the machine to dig in low benches and to increase breakout forces throughout the bank. Its payload capacity of 59t enables a four-pass match to 220t haul trucks and will accommodate trucks ranging from 135t to 360t. The pilot machine is currently working in a production environment at ASARCO Mission Mine, a copper application in Arizona.
GSA Urban Mining Project

02:25
This may just look like a warehouse full of old electronics, but the General Services Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and Electronics Recycling Incorporated see something more, "urban mining". ERI CEO John Shegerian oversees this urban mining process, which is the recovery of precious and rare earth metals and other valuable materials from used electronics such as computers, monitors, televisions and cell phones. GSA and the EPA are partnering with electronics recycling companies, like ERI, in this "urban mining effort" to encourage e-stewardship and to help stimulate the local economy. Old electronics are brought to the E-waste facility, torn apart, processed and then reassembled into a new item. Just as John with ERI shows us with his iPad2. This aluminum eventually goes through our facility, after it gets recycled, and it goes to ALCOA, our partner, and it ends up on the back of this iPad2. And that's what we call, urban mining.. GSA is a big volume buyer of electronics, spending $85 billion on electronics annually, $14 billion of that in IT equipment alone. This makes GSA's cradle to grave approach, to buy green and recycle green, imperative. Sue Damour, the GSA Rocky Mountain Regional Administrator, explains that e-waste recycling is key. to helping GSA work toward it's goal of becoming a Zero Environmental Footprint agency. The Federal Government in our mind, leads by example and this is the perfect way to do it. And we want to support job growth, not only here in Colorado, but in the other locations that ERI has in the high tech economy as we move into the future. Jim Martin from the EPA also shares enthusiasm about urban mining and the opportunity to create green jobs that will have a positive economic impact. This graph shows you another great reason for doing this, we can create jobs, we can create good jobs for all kinds of people. Long-term permanent jobs, recycling, reusing and replacing our electronics. A beacon of hope in a down economy. Colorado has been a mining state for more than 150 years, and I think, Jim martin, with EPA will agree with me this is the best mining we have ever done.

Mineral Resources Conference: Maria O’Connor (22.10.18)

15:46
Integrated Geoscience – The benefits of working in haloes not silos Maria O’Connor, Principal Resource Geologist, CSA Global UK Ltd Getting as much information as you can from all the data that gets collected on a deposit should be central to any operator’s objectives. Too often, the silo approach, traditional in mining - where each discipline acts independently of each other, leads to sub optimal solutions, inefficiency, lost revenue and high opportunity costs. This presentation discusses recent work completed by the author which uses an integrated geoscience approach to estimate Acid Forming Potential of material into the Mineral Resource block model for a mineral deposit using geological and geochemical characterisation, providing valuable inputs to subsequent scheduling and mine planning to mitigate risk and realise opportunity. Most deposits have a legacy of different geologists logging drill core. In fact, it is not uncommon for the most inexperienced geologists to end up with this responsibility in the core yard. For this reason, as any project evolves, and as the geological interpretation is developed and knowledge increases, re-logging programs are common, incorporating consistency improvements (use of rock boards, examples of key geological attributes etc.) and a focus on what is the key information to collect. The value that can be achieved from such data is not limited to the development of the geological model or the grade estimate. It can underpin future work in diverse areas such as metallurgy, scheduling and categorisation of material for environmental purposes. A recent case study used re-logged geology from diamond core and RC chips together with analytical geochemical testwork for waste characterisation. The author, alongside the Company geologist involved in re-logging, derived a relationship between logged geology and acid forming potential and acid neutralising capacity. This relationship was used to inform an estimate of the acid forming potential of the entire open pit deposit, for use in mine scheduling by the mine planning engineers. It is considered a good and successful example of how reliably logged geology can inform downstream processes that may not have been predictable at the outset, and how disciplines across the mining cycle can communicate better to improve outcomes.

Internet Traffic Mastery Review 2018 (ITM) | Four Percent Challenge | by Nigel Yates ▶ https://nigelyates.org/itm-welcome Jump to: 0:34 - This is my biggest frustration! 0:57 - Why I needed a solution to this problem In this review of Internet Traffic Mastery, I explain why I am using this brand new course for all my traffic needs. Internet Traffic Mastery was launched by the Four Percent in 2018 and is taught by Four Percent Group[ founder Vick Strizheus. 'Traffic' (or human visitors viewing your product or service) is the LIFEBLOOD of any online business and possibly the biggest challenge facing many online marketers. Being able to master internet traffic generation and overcome this challenge by ensuring a steady stream of targeted, interested prospects will make the difference between success and failure. This is essentially the same as 'foot fall' for traditional 'brick and mortar' retail stores. They need visitors through the door in the same way you or I, as online marketers, need visitors to our offers or the ability to generate instant website traffic. For many newcomers to the online world, traffic is also one of the biggest hurdles to overcome. I have spent many many hours online researching different traffic methods, not to mention a lot of money testing different traffic methods (often with disastrous results) - I guess you could say I have learned the hard way...but that doesn't mean you have to. I've also been pitched other traffic products from industry leaders which were easily double the cost of Internet Traffic Mastery - which is why for me, Internet Traffic Mastery is a 'win-win' as I now have everything I need to scale and grow my business using this one resource (or gold mine as aI like to think of it)! Whether you choose PPC, CPA, Solo Ads, Organic methods etc, you will quickly discover that not all traffic is created equal...and costs can escalate quickly. This is why it is so important to learn how to become a 'master' of internet traffic so that you can take control of your own environment. In this series, I want to continue my education by digging deeper into the lives and careers of my guests to try and learn how they think. I want to understand the experiences that have shaped them, the failures they bounced back from, and the lessons that those failures have taught them. And I want to break down their success to find out what sets them apart. I'm not looking for trade ideas or guesses about an unknowable future, but rather knowledge, accumulated over the course of careers to try and make me a better investor. And I want to share those conversations with you. Several years ago, I was introduced to my guest today by mutual friends who'd entrusted a significant portion of their savings to. This man, they told me, invest in a way which is not only unlike the methods employed by 99% of money managers today, but also with an integrity and a methodology which is a throwback to a time which is sadly almost vanished. In the intervening period, as I've gotten to know my guest better, I spent a considerable amount of time trying to persuade him to sit down with me and share both his experience and his investment philosophy with the Real Vision audience. Sadly, each of my invitations has been met with a very polite, but very firm, no thank you. This was no surprise to me. My guest has never before been interviewed, either in writing or on camera, and for good reason. He's a private man who prefers to spend his time reading and thinking, who invests far from the spotlight, and with no care for either mainstream opinion or consensus strategies. A year ago, I finally got to meet my guest, and I spent an evening I will never forget listening to him talk about how he sees the world and how he thinks about the discipline of investing. That meeting made me more determined than ever to try and persuade him to break his silence and give others the chance to learn from him as I had done. Now, three years after I first approached him, he's very graciously agreed to talk to me in front of the Real Vision cameras. And so I'm excited to be traveling to the Swiss Alps to discover how his framework has evolved over the years and see how he looks at the process of investing that which he considers permanent, irreplaceable capital. So please join me for a conversation with Tony Deden. There are going to people that watch this who know you, and they're probably sitting there thinking, why the hell is Tony Deden doing it? And then they're going to people that don't know who, after this conversation, are going to go, why the hell do I not know Tony Deden? So I know this is the first time you've done one of these and I really appreciate the fact that you've agreed to do it, because there's so many things I want to talk to you about.

Acid Mine Drainage - SABC news Interview with SAME on Acid Mine Drainage Treatment

05:58
http://www.same.co.za +27 11 9024900 SAME Water has recently been fortunate enough to have been awarded the Acid Mine Drainage Central Basin Pre Neutralisation Water Treatment Plant - Mechanical Contract, covering one of the most concerning domestic water treatment challenges which is the treatment of Acid Mine Drainage water throughout Gauteng and beyond. The mining operations on the Witwatersrand are split among three basins: • Western Basin stretching from Randfontein to Roodepoort • Central Basin stretching from Roodepoort to Boksburg • Eastern Basin stretching from Boksburg to Springs Mine water started accumulating in the old mine workings as underground operations ceased and withdrew from the basins. The mine water is characterised by acidity, high metal content and high salinity. If the mine water accumulation is allowed to continue, then the Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) will eventually fill the basins and start impacting on shallow groundwater bodies and surface water resources. The Inter Ministerial Committee on Acid Mine Drainage recommended specific actions to manage and control the AMD. As part of the short-term solution for the Central Basin, a new water treatment plant will be designed and built to treat excess mine water to a standard suitable for interim discharge to the environment. The treatment process will incorporate neutralisation and metals removal with limited desalination. The main components of the mine water collection system include the following: • Abstraction (feed) pumps at ERPM South West Vertical (SWV) Shaft • Transfer pipelines from ERPM SWV Shaft to the adjacent Central Basin Water Treatment Plant The main components of the dosing system for the Water Treatment Plant include the following process units: • Limestone (CaCO3) dosing system • Unslaked Lime dosing system (Quicklime, CaO) • Polymer (polyelectrolyte) dosing system The main components of the Central Basin Water Treatment Plant include the following process units: • Feed splitter box • Two parallel reactor modules consisting of: • Sludge conditioning tank • Reactor, consisting of: o Pre-neutralisation tank o Neutralisation tank o Gypsum crystallisation tank • Dosing mixing box • Two parallel thickeners • Sludge recycle pumps • Sludge mixing tank The main components of the treated water discharge and waste disposal systems include the following process units: • Treated water sump • Utility water pump station • Treated water transfer pipeline from the Central Basin Water Treatment Plant to Elsburg Spruit • Waste sludge pumps, pumping out of the sludge mixing tank (to be designed) • Waste transfer pipeline from the Central Basin Water Treatment Plant to DRDGold transfer pipeline (Knights/Brakpan TSF)

MOBU ICO Review - The Future Of Security Tokens - HIGHLY RATED PROJECT

16:24
[DESCRIPTION] MOBU is an end-to-end solution for launching compliant security tokens. Similar to how the HTTP protocol defined the internet, MOBU developed the MOB20 standard protocol that defines a set of commands that a security token should implement. MOBU is an ecosystem that implements this unique MOB20 standard protocol to ensure the protection of both investors and ICO issuers to create a more competitive ICO services pricing environment which complies with SEC regulations including KYC/AML, a unique new type of escrow, etc. Similar to how the $80 billion USD Ethereum platform simplified the process of launching a utility token, MOBU simplifies the process of launching a compliant security token. MOBU will support Reg S, Reg D, and Reg A+ compliant security token offerings, and with the incorporated ability to select experienced legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions within the platform, token issuers can be sure they can create compliant tokens within their local jurisdictions. https://medium.com/@MOBU https://t.me/mobuCHAT https://twitter.com/MobuICO https://web.facebook.com/MobuICO/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Mobu/ https://github.com/mobuadmin https://en.bitcoinwiki.org/wiki/MOBU https://mobu.io ******************************************************** [HELP SUPPORT THIS CHANNEL] -Open a Coinbase account here (earn $10) https://goo.gl/J4WfLZ -Support thru Patreon: http://bit.ly/patreonnn -Trade on this exchange: https://goo.gl/4Z4JwP -Buy a Ledger Nano S (Top Multi-Asset Hardware Wallet): https://www.ledgerwallet.com/r/037a -Genesis Mining: http://goo.gl/R77m3b (discount) ******************************************************** [EARN AND MULTIPLY YOUR CRYPTO] iCenter Investment Bots -BTC Bot https://goo.gl/suP5Fu -LTC Bot https://goo.gl/fAH31U -BCH Bot http://bit.ly/2M2ZRso -ETH Bot https://goo.gl/5mqVeV Infinity Investment Bot: -XMR/XRP/ETC/DODGE http://bit.ly/2r1wj5j ******************************************************** [IMPORTANT SOCIAL LINKS] -New Podcast: https://apple.co/2IvMthW -Twitter: http://bit.ly/123follow -Facebook: http://bit.ly/2Ojx17Q [TIP WALLET ADDRESS] -LTC wallet: La4MFssBiWKsQWgSYQ28f9XfsVG3qKiPqg -BTC wallet: 12DQjdRVuBos8Mc6T1EoAWVQscSTAnL7Db [ANNOUNCEMENTS] -World Crypto Convention October 31st to November 2nd WCC Registration link: https://worldcryptocon.com/registration/tickets/purchase-tickets/?promo=mark250 (CODE: mark250) The World’s Largest Cryptocurrency Conference October 31st – November 2nd 2018 Investors, Titans of Industry, Blockchain Pioneers and newly found Crypto Millionaires all converge for three epic days on the Las Vegas strip. ******************************************************** Thank You Very Much For Watching This Video! This is clip 5 of 7 for this video. Mining can speed up erosion and create sediment. Erosion and sediment control plans are required for all mining operations. Perimeter controls and sediment traps in combination with good BMPs and maintenance are the best solution. Wetlands should be protected as they are regulated under federal laws. Preserved wetlands can also be incorporated as part of the reclamation plan. Author: Maryland Center for Environmental Training / College of Southern Maryland Publication Date: 2000

Liquid Heat Overview

03:34
Liquid Heat Overview Liquid Heat is the very best industrial deicer and ice-preventative available on the market in North America. Winter cold is the enemy. Liquid Heat meets it head on – and wins. In 1972, Zircon Industries pioneered the introduction of liquid deciers for inclined conveying systems – with LIQUID HEAT. Back in the day, extreme cold shut down coal mines and power plants. Then came LIQUID HEAT. Liquid Heat was able to keep these plants operating when they otherwise could not. At this point they were able to incorporate an effective cold weather operating strategy with LIQUID HEAT. This greatly improved productivity, not to mention the overall working environment by getting out of the cold. Soon, other industries discovered the power of LIQUID HEAT — including aggregates, cement, steel, wood chips, gold, copper, iron ore, recycling and others. Zircon continues to improve the product blend. Make LIQUID HEAT part of your pro-active approach. Don’t just react to the disaster of ice build-up. Prevent it! That’s right — LIQUID HEAT eliminates ice before it occurs! No need to live in fear of winter ice and hassles – when you have a Planned Maintenance Strategy. Use LIQUID HEAT not only to deice …but to prevent ice on your entire conveying system. Why choose LIQUID HEAT? --Effective on conveyer system belts as well as rollers, idlers, chutes, switches, truck beds & more --Acts as a deicer and ice preventer --Remains liquid and easy to spray in extreme cold – won’t gel up --Works in extreme low temperatures when others fail --Zircon offers automated spray systems or manual sprayers --Non-flammable and non-hazardous --Ingredients approved by OSHA and EPA --Approved for use by Goodyear Belting Testimonial “Guys in the yard named it ‘Miracle Juice.’ Liquid Heat greatly improved overall winter performance. Clearly outperforms anti-freeze that we used in past.” – Randy Jamison, Conco Western Stone, N. Aurora, IL For more information speak to your Applied representative today!

Tantalum - The MOST CONFLICT Metal On EARTH!

08:03
Thanks for the provided tantalum: http://www.samaterials.com/ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Thoisoi?ty=h Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thoisoi2 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thoisoi/ Do not repeat the experiments shown in this video! So, today I want to tell you about this refractory and also a conflict making metal, tantalum. In the periodic table of chemical elements tantalum is located in the fifth group, among the so-called transitional refractory metals. Due to its rarity and difficulty in obtaining, tantalum was named after the Greek king Tantalus. According to the legend, he offended Zeus and the other gods, for which he was cast out of heaven for an eternal torment. Like the ancient Greek king, many scientists and researchers have suffered and endured, trying to obtain this element in its pure form. Externally, tantalum looks like a grey shiny metal, and by the way quite heavy. In its density it comes next after the gold. If you take the current market price, one kilogram of tantalum costs around $150, therefore this metal is quite expensive. Tantalum is very ductile, it’s very easy to make a wire or foil from it. This metal is extracted from the mineral coltan, the deposits of which are located in Brazil, but especially rich deposits of tantalum ores are found in Central Africa. Recently tantalum is referred to as a conflict making metal, because a lot of African countries are fighting to get their hands on it. For example, in Congo and Rwanda there are military conflicts associated with the smuggling of tantalum ore. From about the last decade, about 9 African countries and 20 different military groups were involved in the tantalum wars. However, let’s go back to the chemical properties of the tantalum metal. From the chemical point of view, this metal is extremely stable, it is not soluble in dilute acids, even in the hydrofluoric acid due to a very robust oxide film covering the metal. One of the very few caustic environments that can dissolve tantalum is a mixture of hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid, in which from the tantalum a complex compound forms that is soluble in water. In the form of a powder tantalum burns quite well in air, forming the tantalum oxide. In spite of all its chemical stability, this metal also reacts well with molten alkalis, forming tantalates. For example, if you pour a bit of dry sodium hydroxide on the tantalum foil and then melt it, such an aggressive environment can easily dissolve the tantalum and burn a hole in the tantalum foil. Though that’s pretty much it, you cannot conduct any other special chemical experiments with tantalum due to its inertness. The only thing we can do is heat the tantalum rod and see how fast will it oxidize in the hot flame of a gas burner. After such an abuse, tantalum rod gets covered with a white and inert substance – tantalum oxide from reacting with oxygen in air. This material is also used in creating glass that absorbs gamma rays. Because of its plasticity and chemical stability, in the olden days tantalum was used for making filaments for light bulbs, but later with the rise of the price for this metal, tantalum was replaced with a much cheaper tungsten. The internal resistivity of tantalum is comparable to the one of steel, hence this element can be used to create heating elements instead of using nichrome, especially in places where you need a very high temperature, as tantalum melts at more or less about three thousand degrees Celsius! So, for example, it is possible to heat the tantalum wire and it will not oxidize as much. At the moment, one of the most important applications of tantalum is in manufacturing the most efficient tantalum capacitors, in electronics. In the capacitors like anode a very fine tantalum powder is used, which is pressed around the tantalum wire and is sintered to the form of a sponge. Then such sponge is anodized, i.e. is covered with a layer of tantalum pentoxide that acts as the dielectric layer. Next, the anodized tantalum sponge is covered with a layer of the cathode of manganese dioxide. Then, on top, a layer of graphite and a layer of silver is added, and now the capacitor is ready. The advantage of these capacitors is that they can be made to be extremely small, due to the very thin dielectric film. These kind of capacitors can be put into any computer, smartphone or a tablet. So say thanks to tantalum for the smartphones. Recently, jewelers are trying to use tantalum in the jewelry, as this metal is quite dense and is completely non-toxic to humans. Now even the Chinese sell tantalum rings. Hmm, would you gift your girlfriend a tantalum decoration? In my opinion, it would be quite original. However, tantalum by itself is grey and doesn’t shine as beautifully as gold.

Heart of the Spiral's Color & Stone Energy Reading (May 2012)

11:13
Feel free to adjust the Quality to HD! The blue energy from the end of April continues as May arrives, but in a lighter shade. All kinds of communication and creative expression are favored. Exciting ideas surface now; share them with your trusted friends and family. Talking about your thoughts, dreams, and plans will bring clarity to them. Blue chalcedony aids the flow of communication, both within ourselves and with others. Another harmonious stone for this time is angelite; it brings inspiration from the heavenly realms into worldly expression through our creativity. During the late afternoon of the 3rd, the light blue gives way to champagne gold energy, much like the color of ginger ale. And like champagne and ginger ale, this color has an effervescent quality to it. Lightness of thought, lightness of mind—this is the higher intellect at play, albeit with serious matters. Rutilated quartz will ground this pale golden energy and help us to become receptive to the answers that it discovers. Puzzles may unravel, and solutions may suddenly appear while this energy predominates through the 5th of the month. The 6th finds us "in the pink" and ready for some fun. If a summer vacation is in your future, make plans during this pink period, which lasts till midday on the 9th. Pink days bring a general lessening of worries and encourage feelings of compassion and trust for our fellow humans. Pink opal harmonizes well with the energy now, keeping us centered in the heart so that we truly act from that place of unconditional love. Pink opal also supports our capacity for discernment, for our increased tendency to trust others makes us vulnerable to deception at this time. The energy shifts from pink to light green on the 9th.Green restores balance and allows healing to happen naturally; when it is a pastel shade, the effects occur more on the emotional level than the physical. Issues may arise to be resolved and let go. Although the healing process can be unpleasant, the result is surely worthwhile. Chrysoprase will ease the discomfort, create emotional stability, and help us live contentedly in the moment. The light green energy will last through the 12 th, except for the daylight hours of the 11th. On that day, white light will dominate, clearing out any leftover energetic debris from the healing work of the previous days. Use clear quartz in combination with chrysoprase during this cleansing period and on the 12th. These stones will ground us and incorporate the positive changes into our personal energy systems. Sunshine yellow comes in on the 13th, infusing us with confidence and optimism and stirring our curiosity. Our mental energy is sharpened, so this is an excellent time to study or learn something new. This is also a good time to make long-term plans. Two stones are highlighted now: heliodor and picture jasper. Heliodor, also known as yellow beryl, quickens our sense of inner knowing and opens our mental capacities to accept new information easily. Under its influence, however, our minds can become overactive, and so we may find it difficult to relax or even sleep. If you are feeling too much in your head, picture jasper will bring your energy back down through your body yet still support the mental focus that the current yellow energy elicits. During this time of intellectual emphasis, be mindful of how you relate to your loved ones; we'll be less emotionally sensitive to others and may unintentionally be quite blunt or rude. On the 15th, red becomes the predominant color, and physical concerns replace our mental focus. Red urges us to get up and move, get up and do something. All kinds of physical activity are favored. Sometimes an influx of root-chakra red will direct our attention to potential health problems, so really pay attention to your body. Bloodstone stands out as the most useful stone during this time. Not only does its healing effect on the blood promote vitality, but it also balances us physically, mentally, and emotionally, dampening red's tendency to provoke anger and worry. The next change occurs as night falls on the 17th and a silvery gray infuses the environmental energy. There's a very light and ethereal quality to this color. We are subject to flights of fancy at this time. Imagination is strong, giving rise to ideas for creative projects. Fortunately, the gray that underlies the sparkling silver keeps us balanced and grounded in practicality. Amethyst connects us with divine inspiration and encourages us to expand our awareness into the spiritual realm; at the same time, it helps us merge our spiritual selves with our physical bodies. The silver-gray color and amethyst stone combine their energies into the perfect opportunity for us to realize just how wise and creative we truly are.
