Learning to Glide with a Cape - Batman Arkham Origins - Part 10 | PC Hard Walkthrough

18:20
Here is my blind walkthrough/playthrough of Batman Arkham Origins for the PC on Hard difficulty. I provide light commentary in the way of educational and game design choices and impressions. This playlist will be going through the story campaign missions as well as finding all of the side missions. I will be dividing these up between 2 main playlists, 1 for the Main Story and 1 for the finding collectibles and side quests. This is video is in HD and while recorded in 720p, it is played on max settings of 1080p with 60 fps recorded. This video is titled Learning to Glide with a Cape - Batman Arkham Origins - Part 10 | PC Hard Walkthrough. Please like, share, comment and follow. Full Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPwcLk2tNbI&list=PL-XsFNO4RD1zGXNoR9CLVlSX2_ARgRaeJ Story Playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPwcLk2tNbI&list=PL-XsFNO4RD1zHcu3Zy0qcm9HK3aqJu5eH Twitter - https://twitter.com/MaddCowQQ Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/user/maddcowqq Twitch - http://www.twitch.tv/maddcowqq Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Maddcowqq/697016870374109 Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged. Arkham Origins is an open world action-adventure game that incorporates elements of stealth game tactics. Batman can use his cape to glide around Gotham City, and he can use the grapnel gun's retracting rope to attach to out-of-reach ledges and extend his flight. Some gadgets obtained in previous Arkham games are present at the start of Arkham Origins, while others become available during play. Returning gadgets include: the Cryptographic Sequencer, which is used for hacking security consoles; the Batarang, a throwing weapon; the Batclaw, used for hooking on to surfaces; Smoke Pellets, used for stealthy exits and entries; Explosive Gel, used to create openings in surfaces; the Disruptor, which can remotely disable guns and explosive mines; and the Grapnel Accelerator, an earlier version of the Grapnel Boost. New equipment in Batman's arsenal include: the Remote Claw, which allows Batman to target two objects and pull them together allowing him to throw enemies into each other or hit them with objects, while tethering two walled-points together creates a tightrope that Batman can traverse; the Shock Gloves, which allow Batman to block electric attacks, instantly disable some enemies and stun shielded ones, and short circuit some objects within the environment; and the Concussion Detonator, capable of stunning large enemy groups. The game introduces a fast travel system, allowing Batman to remotely summon his plane, the Batwing, to transport him to other areas of the game world quicker than gliding or grappling can allow. Enemy tower installations prevent Batman from summoning the craft in some areas and must first be disabled using various gadgets and abilities to make the Batwing available; the Batwing is not player controlled. Some towers can only be disabled when the player has obtained the necessary equipment. Players can traverse enemy-controlled areas using stealth or direct combat. Using an enhanced version of the series' Freeflow combat system, combat introduces a tracking system which assesses the players' efficiency, highlighting various achievements in battle such as avoiding damage and using gadgets. Combined with chaining attacks together to maintain momentum, the performance is rewarded with experience points. These points can be used in a branching upgrade system to enhance Batman's abilities and gadgets, allowing players to upgrade multiple paths or specialize in one. Enemy attacks are prompted with a warning icon, which indicate the attack can be countered. Enemies are armed with weapons like knives, lead pipes, and shields which can be countered. The game introduces two new enemy types: the "Martial-Artist" who is capable of blocking, evading and countering Batman's attacks, the "Armored Enforcer" who is invulnerable to harm until he is dazed and de-armored, and Venom-infused henchmen who possess superhuman strength, allowing them to grapple Batman and use uncounterable attacks. Some enemies are armed with guns which significantly damage Batman. The player can use predatory tactics through stealth to tilt the odds in their favor. Many areas feature stone gargoyles or outcrops placed high above, helping Batman remain concealed in between movements to set traps and knock out enemies.

How to give the BEST PowerPoint presentation!

08:57
A bad PowerPoint presentation can be confusing, annoying, and boring. In this video, I'll give you my best tips for using PowerPoint in your presentations, whether they are for work or school. I'll talk about what makes a good presentation and what can ruin your presentation. You'll also learn how to use fonts, templates, and color to improve your slides. Do you know how much information to put on each slide? I'll answer that question and many more in this tutorial on using PowerPoint! Take a quiz on this video at http://www.engvid.com/how-to-give-the-best-powerpoint-presentation/ For more free presentation help, including advice for English learners gving presentations in English, go to http://www.presentationprep.com/ TRANSCRIPT Do you have to make presentations? Do you hate presentations? I like presentations, but one thing that you are probably maybe good at with presentations are making PowerPoint presentations, because you have visual aids to help you so you don't really have to talk as much, if you're nervous about talking. Presentation skills is something that you can work on. We have videos on www.engvid.com to help you with presentation skills. So, go and check those out for learning how to speak during presentations. But what we're going to focus on today is the visual aspect of presentations, so your PowerPoint things. Some things to do, and some things not to do. So, here we are, presentation skills. The first thing and one of the things that makes these presentations so fun are pictures. But we have to be careful. The templates that you have already included in your presentation software, they're boring. People use them all the time. So, I suggest you try and download some other pictures to make your presentation more interesting. And with that, make sure that on one slide you have one image. Make it interesting. Do not have a split screen. So, don't have two images on one slide. Do not have a collage, that's insane. A collage is many different small pictures on one screen. Even when I see a collage, there's a lot of collages coming out on Facebook now, and I'm like: "Too many pictures. Can't understand." Our brains just cannot comprehend all those pictures, especially when you're having the slide up for a short period of time. Don't make it like a photo album. Don't put millions and seven pictures, and... Keep it simple. Put a single image on each slide. Try and pick images that you actually like, and not too distracting. You don't want puppy dogs and things. Make something simple, but something that you like, and make sure it looks nice. The next one you have to worry about is the lettering. So, the lettering, you also might know this as the font. So, font and lettering are the same. One thing that you do not want to do is have really fancy or beautiful lettering. Simply... The reason is some people can't read when the letters are fancy, especially if you are doing presentations for people whose... Do not have English as their first language, if you take the letters and you write them even cursive, a lot of people have problems reading cursive. So, I suggest you use something more traditional. There's lots of very easy-to-read fonts you can get from your... Whatever word processing you use. So, make it simple, easy to read. Another problem that you might have is the script is too big or too small. So remember that when you're making your presentation, you're doing it probably on your laptop, or your desktop, or your iPad, or your phone, so the font or the lettering is going to be different than when you put it up on the projector. So if at all possible if you can, check it out before you do the presentation. Look at your... Hook up your laptop or whatever, and see if you can actually see it on the screen because the font is different. You might think that on your laptop it's a good size, but when it gets on the projection screen, it's tiny; or it takes up too much space and it's too big. Next up are the words or the text. So, there's been studies done on how many lines of text a human can absorb or understand, and any more than six, you've lost the people. So, try and keep on each slide one very simple image, with very traditional clear text, and put only two or three lines on each slide. Don't put bullet points. If you have more than six lines or if you have bullet points, again, we just... We just can't remember them all. We just lose focus. We have something called too much information, too much info, TMI. "Too much information" means that if you have more than two or three lines, we're just not getting it. Our brain can't... We just can't learn it like you want us to.
What is SECURE TELEPHONE? What does SECURE TELEPHONE mean? SECURE TELEPHONE meaning & explanation

04:39
What is SECURE TELEPHONE? What does SECURE TELEPHONE mean? SECURE TELEPHONE meaning - SECURE TELEPHONE definition - SECURE TELEPHONE explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A secure telephone is a telephone that provides voice security in the form of end-to-end encryption for the telephone call, and in some cases also the mutual authentication of the call parties, protecting them against a man-in-the-middle attack. Concerns about massive growth of telephone tapping incidents led to growing demand for secure telephones. The practical availability of secure telephones is restricted by several factors; notably politics, export issues, incompatibility between different products (the devices on each side of the call have to use the same protocol), and high (though recently decreasing) price of the devices. The best-known product on the US government market is the STU-III family. However, this system has now been replaced by the Secure Terminal Equipment (STE) and SCIP standards which defines specifications for the design of equipment to secure both data and voice. The SCIP standard was developed by the NSA and the US DOD to derive more interoperability between secure communication equipment. A new family of standard secure phones has been created based on Philip Zimmermann's VoIP encryption standard ZRTP. As the popularity of VoIP grows, secure telephony is becoming more widely used. Many major hardware and software providers offer it as a standard feature at no extra cost. Examples include the Gizmo5 and Twinkle. Both of the former work with offerings from the founder of PGP, Phil Zimmermann, and his VoIP secure protocol, ZRTP. ZRTP is implemented in, amongst others, Ripcord Networks product SecurePC with up to NSA Suite B compliant Elliptic Curve math libraries. ZRTP is also being made available for mobile GSM CSD as a new standard for non-VoIP secure calls. The U.S. National Security Agency is developing a secure phone based on Google's Android called Fishbowl. Scramblers were used to secure voice traffic during World War II, but were often intercepted and decoded due to scrambling's inherent insecurity. The first true secure telephone was SIGSALY, a massive device that weighed over 50 tons. NSA, formed after World War II, developed a series of secure telephones, including the STU I, STU II and STU-III, as well as voice encryption devices for military telephones. In 1989 an Irish company called Intrepid developed one of the most advanced secure phones. Called Milcode, the phone was the first to implement Code Excited Linear Prediction (or CELP) which dramatically improved voice quality and user operability over previous LPC (Linear Predictive Coding) and LPC-10e versions. Milcode also boasted significantly higher levels of security than previous secure telephones. The base model offered a proprietary encryption algorithm with a key length of 512 bits, and a more advanced model with a key length of 1024 bits. Key exchange used a public key, based on Diffie-Hellman, as opposed to a plug-in datakey. A new key was generated for each phone call. Milcode was also able to encrypt fax and data and was electromagnetically shielded to NATO TEMPEST standards. Other products of historical significance are PGPfone and Nautilus (designed as a non-key escrow alternative to Clipper, now officially discontinued, but still available on SourceForge), SpeakFreely, and the security VoIP protocol wrapper Zfone developed by the creator of PGP. Scrambling, generally using a form of voice inversion, was available from electronic hobbyist kit suppliers and is common on FRS radios. Analog scrambling is still used, as some telecommunications circuits, such as HF links and telephone lines in the developing world, are of very low quality.

Encryption Is Foundational to The Future (Part 3 The Begin of the Technological Age)

08:19
The first world war showed the importance of cryptography on the battlefield, and the danger of weak encryption. The second world war became a defining moment in the history of cryptography and placed it squarely at the center of military and political strategy from that time to the present day. The ENIGMA machine was developed by a German Arthur Scherbius in 1918 and was patented in 1919. It was marketed with portability and confidentiality as it sales features, but it had a lack of commercial success. When Germany discovered that they had lost WW I as a result of their cipher having been cracked by the British, despite the high cost, the machine was adopted by the German Navy in 1926, the Army in 1928 and the Air Force in 1935; also it was introduced into service with other sections of the German government.

Eric Schlosser: Nuclear Delusions, Festival of Dangerous Ideas 2015

01:00:41
We've known how to build nuclear weapons for a long time, so why can't we work out how to keep them safe? Natasha Mitchell (Chair) As an investigative journalist, Eric Schlosser continues to explore subjects ignored by the mainstream media and gives a voice to people at the margins of society. He’s followed the harvest with migrant farm workers in California, spent time with meatpacking workers in Texas and Colorado, told the stories of marijuana growers and pornographers and victims of violent crime, gone on duty with the NYPD Bomb Squad, and visited prisons throughout the US. Schlosser’s first book, Fast Food Nation (2001), helped start a revolution in how Americans think about what they eat. His second book, Reefer Madness (2003), looked at America’s thriving underground economy. Both were The New York Times bestsellers. His most recent book, Command and Control (2013), examines the efforts of the military, since the atomic era began during World War II, to prevent nuclear weapons from being stolen, sabotaged, or detonated by accident. Command and Control was a New York Times Notable Book, a Time Magazine Top 10 Nonfiction Book, was a finalist for the 2014 Pulitzer Prize (History) and also received the Gold Medal Award (Nonfiction) from the 2013 California Book Awards. http://sydneyoperahouse.com/ideas Subscribe and find more videos from Ideas at the House: http://www.youtube.com/ideasatthehouse Get a new talk every week on our podcast: Audio - https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/sydney-opera-house-ideas-at/id640445035 Video - https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/sydney-opera-house-ideas-at/id640444896 Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/IdeasAtTheHouse Twitter - https://twitter.com/ideasatthehouse

DEF CON 23 - Panel - Licensed to Pwn: Weaponization and Regulation of Security Research

01:45:56
Security research is under attack. Updates to the Wassenaar Arrangement in 2013 established among its 41 member nations an agreement to place a variety of previously undesignated “cybersecurity items” under export control. After 18 months and a half-dozen open advisory meetings, the U.S. has taken the entire security research community by surprise with its proposed rule; we are confronted by a sweeping implementation with profound consequences for academia, independent research, commercial cybersecurity, human rights, and national security. While the outcome of this round of regulatory intervention is still uncertain, the fact that there will be more is not. This panel of experts will discuss the context, history, and general process of regulation, as well the related question of “weaponized” research in regulatory discourse. There is significant daylight between the relatively lax text of the Wassenaar Arrangement itself and the extraordinarily broad implementation proposed in the U.S. What will the practical effects of those differences be, and why did the U.S. diverge from the Wassenaar text? Regulators are, even now, still struggling to comprehend what the consequences of this new “cyber rule” might be. So, how are we to understand this regulatory process? What are its objectives? Its impacts? Its limits? How can we influence its outcomes? Eleventh-hour interventions are quickly becoming a hallmark of regulatory activities with implications for the wider world of information security; the fight here is almost exclusively a rearguard action. Without resorting to the usual polemics, what failures of analysis and advice are contributing to these missteps – on both sides? What interests might encourage them? How are security researchers being caught so off-balance? Come victory or despair in the present case, this panel aims to answer the question of whether there is a solution that prevents technology transfer to hostile nations while still enabling free markets, freedom of expression, and freedom of research. Speaker Bios: Dave Aitel (@daveaitel) is an offensive security expert whose company, Immunity, Inc., consults for major financial institutions, Fortune/Global 500s, etc. Matt Blaze (@mattblaze) is a professor in the computer science department at the University of Pennsylvania. Security and Internet of Things: A World of Possibilities (FULL VERSION dated Nov. 2015)

02:00:51
Everywhere around us there are objects that can connect to the Internet -- from smart phones to TV's to thermostats, refrigerators and cars. Gartner, Inc. estimates that there are nearly 5 billion "Things" connected to the Internet and in use, and that by 2020 there will be over 25 billion. Have you ever stopped to wonder that with so many devices connected, collecting, and transmitting data about our lives, what are the security implications of these "Things"? How do we protect ourselves as they become ever embedded within our homes, work, and lives? The IBM Academy of Technology (AoT) cordially invites you to our next AoT THINK Event on livestream that is open to the public. Our panel of IBM experts will be joined by students, ranging from 10 years old and up, for short presentations and live demonstrations. This IBM AoT THINK Event is designed for all ages to enlighten us on the exciting opportunities - and security implications - of the Internet of Things. Virtual Session: Blockchain Security: An Improvement or a Nightmare?

01:02:01
David Huseby, Security Maven, Linux Foundation Hyperledger Marta Piekarska, Director of Ecosystem, Linux Foundation Blockchain, the distributed ledger technology (DLT) underlying bitcoin, is far more valuable than the currency it supports. As enterprises start to put distributed ledger technology into practice, it’s important to understand the security implications. Blockchain can both enhance security but also when built into traditional solutions requires traditional security measures. In this RSAC Virtual Session from Linux Foundation’s David Huseby and Marta Piekarska, we’ll look at public vs. private blockchains and lessons learned for enterprises moving to DLTs. We'll walk through real life deployments of Blockchain solutions for an understanding of how Blockchain does, and does not, change the security requirements for your enterprise. https://www.rsaconference.com/videos/virtual-session-blockchain-security

[New] ISC CISSP Exam Certification Training: Certified Information Systems Security Professional

02:01
Recenty Updated ISC CISSP Test Software, Real ISC CISSP Certification Exams Are Based On The Real Exam, Pass Certified Information Systems Security Professional. Read More: https://youtu.be/MBZ4s8ZOzTo QUESTION 1 A potential problem related to the physical installation of the Iris Scanner in regards to the usage of the iris pattern within a biometric system is: A. Concern that the laser beam may cause eye damage. B. The iris pattern changes as a person grows older. C. There is a relatively high rate of false accepts. D. The optical unit must be positioned so that the sun does not shine into the aperture. Correct Answer: D Explanation Explanation/Reference: Because the optical unit utilizes a camera and infrared light to create the images, sun light can impact the aperture so it must not be positioned in direct light of any type. Because the subject does not need to have direct contact with the optical reader, direct light can impact the reader. An Iris recognition is a form of biometrics that is based on the uniqueness of a subject's iris. A camera like device records the patterns of the iris creating what is known as Iriscode. It is the unique patterns of the iris that allow it to be one of the most accurate forms of biometric identification of an individual. Unlike other types of biometics, the iris rarely changes over time. Fingerprints can change over time due to scaring and manual labor, voice patterns can change due to a variety of causes, hand geometry can also change as well. But barring surgery or an accident it is not usual for an iris to change. The subject has a high-resoulution image taken of their iris and this is then converted to Iriscode. The current standard for the Iriscode was developed by John Daugman. When the subject attempts to be authenticated an infrared light is used to capture the iris image and this image is then compared to the Iriscode. If there is a match the subject's identity is confirmed. The subject does not need to have direct contact with the optical reader so it is a less invasive means of authentication then retinal scanning would be. Reference(s) used for this question: AIO, 3rd edition, Access Control, p 134 AIO, 4th edition, Access Control, p 182 The following answers are incorrect: Concern that the laser beam may cause eye damage. The optical readers do not use laser so, concern that the laser beam may cause eye damage is not an issue. The iris pattern changes as a person grows older. The question asked about the physical installation of the scanner, so this was not the best answer. If the question would have been about long term problems then it could have been the best choice. Recent research has shown that Irises actually do change over time: There is a relatively high rate of false accepts. Since the advent of the Iriscode there is a very low rate of false accepts, in fact the algorithm used has never had a false match. This all depends on the quality of the equipment used but because of the uniqueness of the iris even when comparing identical twins, iris patterns are unique. QUESTION 2 In Mandatory Access Control, sensitivity labels attached to object contain what information? A. The item's classification B. The item's classification and category set C. The item's category D. The items's need to know Correct Answer: B Explanation Explanation/Reference: The following is the correct answer: the item's classification and category set. A Sensitivity label must contain at least one classification and one category set. Category set and Compartment set are synonyms, they mean the same thing. The sensitivity label must contain at least one Classification and at least one Category. It is common in some environments for a single item to belong to multiple categories. The list of all the categories to which an item belongs is called a compartment set or category set. The following answers are incorrect: The item's classification. Is incorrect because you need a category set as well. The item's category. Is incorrect because category set and classification would be both be required. The item's need to know. Is incorrect because there is no such thing. The need to know is indicated by the catergories the object belongs to. This is NOT the best answer. Reference(s) used for this question: OIG CBK, Access Control (pages 186 - 188) AIO, 3rd Edition, Access Control (pages 162 - 163) AIO, 4th Edition, Access Control, pp 212-214 More Link: https://youtu.be/q9cDBM7IUyE

The Calibration Conundrum

05:15
Emerging high definition displays exhibit great spectral variance with respect to their unique illuminant technologies. As a result, their spectral power distributions differ. When calibrating these spectrally unique displays, calibration instruments claim chromaticity matches while film industry professionals (naturally diverse in their color perception) experience chromaticity mismatches. This was not an issue when early phosphor-based displays in use were spectrally similar to one another. Both a simulation and psychophysical test are developed in an attempt to quantify differences in color perception between classic phosphor-based displays and emerging high definition displays. The proposed method can be used to effectively determine a mean visually-corresponding chromaticity offset from a given standard white point chromaticity for both LED and OLED displays to satisfy a greater population of observers. While this offset may be satisfactory for a greater number of observers, a single observer model cannot accurately predict metameric matches for an entire population of diverse observers. This issue is magnified as three-primary color rendering becomes increasingly monochromatic.

DJ tips: how to improve the quality of your audio recording

05:09
I want to share a few simple tips that can help to improve the quality of your audio recordings (mixes). For the more experienced DJ's none of these tips will be new, but if you're just starting out it could be very useful information. Of course, there's a lot more, but let's start with these tips: - Use high quality audio files from stores, DJ pools or CD rips. No YouTube files! - MP3's must be at least 192Kbps, but 320Kbps would be best. - Use higher quality audio RCA/XLR cables. - Invest in a good external audio interface for better recordings. - Watch your audio output and recording levels. USENIX Enigma 2016 - A Million Hit Points and Infinite Charisma: How Games Can Fix...

18:38
Zachary Peterson, Assistant Professor, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Year after year, we see reports on an ever increasing gap, both in the public and private sectors, between the number of computer security professional we need and the number we expect to produce. While the reasons for this trend are varied and systemic, there is a perception, particularly among those new to computing, that security can be asocial and isolating, that it is void of creativity and individual expression, and lacks positive social relevance. But, as we all know, security can inherently have all of these qualities, which perhaps manifest themselves most clearly in cybersecurity games. Indeed, the freedoms of play inherent in games may directly address the qualities deficient in security pedagogy, with many educators now turning to security games, in and out of the classroom, as a meaningful tool for outreach and education. In this talk, we take a critical look at the use of games in cybersecurity education, and explore some of the ways games can (and cannot) fix computer security education. DEF CON 24 Conference Mike Use Their Machines Against Them Loading Code with a Copier

30:27
We’ve all worked on ‘closed systems’ with little to no direct Internet access. And we’ve all struggled with the limitations those systems put on us in the form of available tools or software we want to use. I didn’t like struggling, so I came up with a method to load whatever I wanted on to a closed system without triggering any common security alerts. To do this I had to avoid accessing the Internet or using mag media. In the end all I needed was an office multi-function machine and Excel. It’s all any insider needs. For my presentation and demo, I’ll show you how I delivered a select group of PowerSploit tools to a clean, isolated machine. Of course, Excel has been known as vector for macro viruses for quite some time and some of the techniques—such as hex-encoding binary data and re-encoding it on a target machine—are known binary insertion vectors but I have not found any prior work on an insider using these techniques to deliver payloads to closed systems. You’ll leave my presentation knowing why Excel, umm, excels as an insider attack tool, how to leverage Excel features to load and extract arbitrary binary data from a closed network, and what to do if this really frightens you. BioL Mike has over 20 years experience in the military. He has been part of everything from systems acquisition, to tactical intelligence collection, to staff work, to leading a unit dedicated to data loss prevention. He recently retired from active military service and is now working as a systems security engineer. This is Mike’s first security conference presentation and will also be the first public release of a tool he has written. Mike has previously published twice in 2600 magazine. Mike is super proud of his OSCP certification. He’s also a CISSP.

DEF CON 24 - DC101 - DEF CON 101 Panel

01:32:24
DEF CON has changed for the better since the days at the Alexis Park. It has evolved from a few speaking tracks to an event that still offers the speakers, but also Villages, where you can get hands-on experience and Demo Labs where you can see tools in action. Of course, there is still the Entertainment and Contest Area, as well as Capture The Flag. There is so much more to DEF CON than there was in the past and it is our goal to help you get the best experience possible. In addition to introducing each of the different aspects and areas of DEF CON, we have a panel of speakers that will talk about how they came to be part of DEF CON and their personal experiences over the years. Oh yeah, there is the time honored "Name the Noob", lots of laughs and maybe even some prizes. Plus, stay for the after party. Seriously, there is an after party. How awesome is that?
