YouTube GOLD - Eps. 14 GOLDEN EYE: MINI GOLD MINING | RC ADVENTURES

28:03
We have been mining for several months -- and the pay streak we were following has almost run dry. We are no where near our season goal. The only thing I can do is prospect for new ground to mine. The current mine is still producing gold, but we need to find a new pay streak. After I do some prospecting, I have Krazy Joe run the Dozer - and we move one of the wash plants. The new conveyor belts have arrived - and its time to have the entire plant work as one lean, mean, Gold-producing Machine! Are we going to find Gold?! Of Course! The true secret of this show - is nothing you see is "real". Everything is generally staged (well as much as we can plan when playing!), and though we are mining for real gold (yes it's real pay dirt), the true Gold is the experience we get as friends, what we hope the viewers get watching a couple of goofballs entertain you with some very cool toys. One mans hobby, is another's entertainment on YouTube! Now all I have to do is to continue learning how to sluice for Gold. We are all rookies, we have never mined before.. yet, I have always had a passion for Radio Control, and for finding Gold! "YouTube GOLD" is a #Parody series based around the GOLD Shows of TV that we all know and love. #GoldRush #YukonGold #BeringSeaGold all of these are shows that my family enjoy seeing! A lot of viewers ask me questions about the products I use in my videos, and I have learned to pass along this info in my video descriptions. I hope it helps if you are curious about my HD Equipment. I ordered all of my Heavy Duty Construction equipment distributed by a company called "RC4WD". Here is a link: https://store.rc4wd.com/Heavy-Machinery_c_154.html I am using the older style of excavator, the 870K wheel loader, the DXR2 Dozer, and the 797F Haul Truck. These machines are very impressive.. and VERY HEAVY! All metal, all around... True hydraulic systems that have ample power for your Radio control modelling needs. I have always known that making a GOLD MINE would be possible with RC models.. and finally I get to realize this dream - even if the scale is all 1/14th in size! RC ADVENTURES - 6x6 Heavy Haul transports Diamond Mine Diesel Engine - WiNTER RiVER TRAiL

Click Here To Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - Emulating the very popular video game "SpinTires" with a Radio Control truck is just too cool! SpinTires is a game that Google will tell you much about :) Oddly enough, the irony is not lost on me when I think that Video Games are emulating "real life" scenarios - and yet, here I can take it to a whole new level, emulating the video game with the imagination & robotics.. Yes, I just blew your mind. I wanted a very unique and fun Triple Axle truck and this "Frankenhauler" as I call it, is super cool. I have upgraded the driveshafts to steel, and the truck is powered with a Tekin 45t Hand Wound Brushed motor. The sound unit is a throttle responsive and was sold in 2013. It is no longer available. The front cab is a piece of an old toy I used to have. A Tonka Dump Truck. We all dreamed as children these trucks zooming around on their own.. so when I got older.. I made one. Hah! The back flat deck is made from a "tamiya" transport trailer. I have shaved it down and customized it to fit the triple axle chassis. The cargo I am transporting today is a Diesel Engine for a Dimond Mine truck. I am powering everything with a high output Lithium Polymer battery - 2S, 4200mah Get this TRUCK! : http://store.rc4wd.com/The-Beast-Blackwell-25T-6x6-RTR-Vehicle_p_1175.html Specifications: Blackwell 6x6 Axle with faux break disc Humvee 2.2 beadlock wheels(Z-W0016) Mil-Spec ZXL 2.2 Tires (Z-T0035) Outcry ESC with BEC (Z-E0007) High torque servo with Metal Housing (Z-E0035) 540 Brushed crawler Motor (Z-E0005) Plastic Tod Rnds Metal Linkage Billet servo Srms (Z-S0130) Plastic punisher Dhaft 90mm black Dual Spring Shocks Metal radio and Battery Trays Lazer engraved RC4WD lightning logo Professionally 100% assembled Height: 147.0mm / 5.787inch Width: 243.0mm / 9.566inch Length: 545.0mm / 21.45inch Wheelbase: 415.0mm / 16.33inch Weight: 4.0kg / 141.09oz / 8.81lbs Enjoy the show! De Beers Diamond Company & Black Labour (In "Diamond Road" documentary)

03:11
At the height of its power, the De Beers corporation controlled over 90% of the world's diamonds. The company made use of South Africa's segregated compound system to staff its mines, and shaped many of the systems that were later used in the foundation of apartheid. How carbide inserts are made by Sandvik Coromant

06:21
Carbide inserts are used to machine almost everything made of metal. The insert has to withstand extreme heat and force, so it’s made of some of the hardest material in the world. We take you to the Sandvik Coromant's world class insert production facility at Gimo, Sweden to witness how an insert is made. See how it's done! Transcript Almost everything made of metal is machined with an insert. The insert has to withstand extreme heat and force, so it’s made of some of the hardest material in the world. A typical insert is made of 80% tungsten carbide and a metal matrix that binds the hard carbide grains together, where cobalt is the most common. It takes more than two days to produce an insert, so it’s a complicated process. In the material warehouse, row after row of raw material are stacked. The tungsten carbide we use is either recycled, or comes from our own mine in Austria. Cobalt, titanium and all other ingredients come from carefully selected suppliers; each batch meticulously tested in the lab. Some recipes contain very small amounts of selected ingredients that are added by hand. The main ingredients are then automatically dispensed at the different stops along the weigh line. In the milling room the ingredients are milled to the required particle size together with ethanol, water and an organic binder. This process takes from eight to 55 hours, depending on the recipe. The slurry is pumped into a spray drier where hot nitrogen gas is sprayed to evaporate the ethanol and water mixture. When the powder is dry, it consists of spherical granules of identical sizes. A sample is sent to the lab for quality check. Barrels of 100 kilograms of ready-to-press powder arrive at the pressing machine. The binder added in the milling room is the binder that holds the powder together after pressing. Up to 12 tons of pressure are applied, depending on the type of insert. The binder added in the milling room is what holds the powder together after pressing. The process is completely automated. Each insert is weighed and at certain intervals controlled visually by the operator. The pressed inserts are very fragile and need to be hardened in a sintering oven. This process takes about 13 hours at a temperature of approximately 1,500 degrees Celsius. The inserts are sintered into an extremely hard cemented-carbide product, almost as hard as diamond. The organic binder is incinerated and the insert shrinks approximately to half its original size. The excess heat is recycled and used to heat the premises in the winter, and cool them down during summer. The inserts are ground, one by one, in different types of grinding machines to achieve the exact size, geometry and tolerances. As the cemented carbide insert is so hard, a disc with 150 million small industrial diamonds, is used to grind it. The excess carbide is recycled, as well as the oil that is used as cutting fluid. The majority of inserts are coated, either through chemical vapour deposition (CVD) or physical vapour deposition (PVD). Here, we see a PVD-process. The inserts are placed in fixtures... …and put into the oven. The thin layer of coating makes the insert both harder and tougher. This is also where the insert gets its specific colour. Although the insert has been inspected at the lab regularly during the whole process, it’s manually examined again before it’s laser marked and packed. After labelling, the grey boxes are ready to be sent out to manufacturers around the world. When the inserts are worn out, they are returned to Sandvik Coromant for recycling, and the process of making a new insert begins.

Click Here To Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - Folks that follow my show are often excited to see new ideas I am working on, and my truck "the Beast" certainly did need a new face lift. I have never rocked a Chevy Hard Body before, but have owned this one for almost 1 year. I have been awaiting the right time to mod it and get it on to my truck. This video is only made for me to see if there was going to be any body rubbing on the tires, and I was happy to report that there wasn't! Now I have to order in the pieces as I go, and decide on the paint color I want to use, if any. Best part about no paint - you cant see any scratches! haha. Stornoway Diamonds (TSX:SWY.TO) News Release May 23, 2012 - Viral News

04:04
Stornoway Announces $28.4m Renard Pre-Development Capital Program Stornoway Diamond Corporation (TSX-SWY) is pleased to announce a significant pre-development capital program for 2012 at the 100% owned Renard Diamond Project ("Renard") located in north-central Québec. In November 2011 Stornoway released the results of the Renard Feasibility study, which demonstrated an economically viable project with an initial 11 year reserve based mine life, strong operating margins and extensive resource upside. Since this time, Stornoway has filed the project's Environmental and Social Impact Assessment ("ESIA"; December, 2011), announced the start of construction on the Route 167 highway extension project by the Québec Ministère des transports ("MTQ"; February, 2012), announced the signing of an Impacts and Benefits Agreement with the Crees of the James Bay Region (the "Mecheshoo Agreement"; March 2012), and announced the raising of gross proceeds of $40 million in a combination of unsecured debt and new equity (March, April and May, 2012). Matt Manson, President and CEO, commented: "The pre-development capital program announced today for Renard will maintain our development schedule as we complete final permitting and project financing in 2012. Despite the currently challenging market conditions, we have succeeded in raising the significant capital required to perform this work and we are highly encouraged by the response we have received to date on our larger scale project financing activities. Our objective is to continue hitting our project milestones, this being the most effective way of delivering long term shareholder value." Patrick Godin, COO, added: "An important part of the 2012 program will be to expand our mine development team based in Longueuil, Mistissini and Chibougamau, Québec. This team has already added considerable mining depth to the company alongside our existing diamond technical team based at our North Vancouver office and plant facility. Our strategy is to build upon our already strong operating credentials, recognizing that strong in-house expertise is an essential element for the successful growth of any diamond mining business". The pump pushes hydraulic fluid through the hoses to make the arm of the excavator move. All motions of this vehicle are controlled by my transmitter. This machine takes a LOT of practice.. but is so much fun to use. I don't get to use it hardly enough. It really can dig well, and has ample power. I wish the side-push or turret motor was stronger, but it does suffice. I bought it at http://store.rc4wd.com - in the "Heavy Machinery" section. 06:59
Click Here To Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - Today this truck performed very well for me.. and I can feel the power of the engine starting to settle in. I have a feeling in 2 more tanks through this 1/8th scale Monster Truck, and it is going to be rippin' it up! I put it through it's paces in this video, though this film is only 7 minutes long - I ran it for a good hour. For the first part, off camera, I wanted to ensure the engine was properly broken in before I did anything crazy. Then I felt more comfortable with the rig - and did some jumping, did some speed runs, and got it a little dirty.. The AVC really does help. I find it wasn't as tippy as I expected.. still tons of power pulling out of the corners.. RC ADVENTURES - Behind the Scenes Pre-Run for "SCANiA R560 Wrecker Tow Truck, Towing Practice" Film

03:58
Please Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - This is the very first time I used the Scania R560 Wrecker Tow truck. I needed to practice with this machine before I filmed this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQWgMV3ZzfI - Basically - Practicing for a "Practice Video". Confusing I know. In studio I have a better controlled environment, and learning to use this tow truck is a mammoth job in itself. 19 Channels to run this rig. It's a masterpiece. Shout out to my friend Greg Marsh who helped me build this amazing machine. Here is his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/gregory.marsh.10 Anyways, getting the controls down has been tricky, but this video allowed me to prepare for the one I linked above. Both of these videos are steps into me learning how to use this Wrecker, so I can use it in more "cinematic" style of RC film. I look forward to the progress to come. How do they make Silicon Wafers and Computer Chips?

08:54
This shows how computer chips are made from silicon crystal, to wafer to chips. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35jWSQXku74 is worth watching too. There used to be an episode of National Geographic documentary named "Naked Science" on youtube. It was about using synthetic diamond crystal in place of silicon as the chip substrate. Since diamond crystal can tolerate higher heat, a CPU can be over-clocked without the worry of a melt-down. If you like this video, you should also look up diamond based computer chips.

RC ADVENTURES - 28 tires trail trucking Knight Hauler, Ford AeroMax on Trailer

05:04
Click Here To Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - On a regular basis the RCSparks Trucking company needs to transport rigs that have been repaired or have mechanical issues in and out of the bush. We have found that these trucks are under immense stress when being used to haul heavy equipment. The only problem is, these backwoods trails are extremely difficult to maneuver - and if the driver is not experienced, he can easily end himself, and his truck/payload in BiG TROUBLE. These Semi Trucks are built for brute strength.. but can they traverse the crazy Canadian Outback? It's up to you to discover! RC ADVENTURES™/ RCSparks Studio™ © 2014 Medic Media Productions Inc.. RC ADVENTURES - SCANiA R560 Wrecker 8x8 towing a KiNG HAULER Semi-trailer Truck

05:25
Please Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - One never knows when one will need a heavy hauler to come and rescue you from the side of the road. But for this unlucky Truck Driver - not only is he stuck on the side of the road - but he needs a recovery when his rig starts to give him engine troubles. When owner/operators have issues like this not only do they lose the load, but they have a hefty bill to pay to the towing company. When a trucks not moving - it's costing everyone money. When a big rig is on the back of a tow truck - it costs even more. Good thing the towing dispatch has great response time, and that the chrome King Hauler wasn't too far off on a remote road somewhere. Nothing but a bit of mud to contend with, but this Scania can certainly take that on with no issues. Shout out to my buddy Greg Marsh for sharing a vision with me, that has now become a reality on screen! RC ADVENTURES - Who's controlling the Radio?! Cat 226b Turbo Skid-steer building Jumps

03:14
Click Here To Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - I am preparing for the next Snow Dump & Freeze. I was out puttering around on the Oval track today and viewers have requested that I film when I am working on a track or new ideas while Im in the skid steer. I rarely film this.. as I'm certainly no pro, but the skid steer is mine - I've owned it for about 6 months now and have about 500 hours. In this video I am moving snow and building some jump foundations. What i mean by that, is that I will pile these jumps and start to form them. As it snows/freezes, I'll be adding to them to make them larger as the winter season progresses. I would like to have a Oval Race Track with Jumps all around. Today, I am working on the Right hand side of the track. The camera is filming from the drivers stand, that overlooks the entire track. RC ADVENTURES - Custom 6x6 Heavy Hauler 1/10 Blackwell 2.5T 6x6 2 Speed RTR Truck

Click Here To Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - LEARN MORE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBzmnrvv02c I've finally got one of my side projects done! This truck is a Hybrid of a few different vehicles. The chassis and kit is from RC4WD, (but discontinued), and the cab is from a Tonka Dump truck. The back flat deck is a cut-down Tamiya Trailer. I needed a flat deck heavy hauler to add to my fleet. For those who follow my show, no - this is not my Tonka Dump truck. It is a different Tonka I bought for this purpose. This truck has a 35t motor in it - but I am going to switch it down to a 55t brushed. It will be slower, and give me more torque. The 35t did ok, but was very hot by the end. The sound you hear in the video is actually not available anymore, but resembles a Servonaut V8 Diesel sound module. It works great with the throttle control. I will add lights at a later date, but this is a maiden run to test this trucks functionality. RC ADVENTURES - 1/14th scale 870K Hydraulic Wheel Loader RC4WD

Click Here To Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - Whaaaat? I can't believe my eyes! It has not snowed in September for at least 20 years. Well, no worries - as I am prepared. This is an excellent opportunity to test out the 40 pound Radio Controlled RC4WD Earth Mover 870K Hydraulic Wheel Loader. Work Smarter, Not Harder - I've always said. This is Heavy, WET Snow.. so it needs some power to be moved. With the loader weighing 40lb and the snow being so heavy - I am shocked at how easily the 2 speed transmission powers through. I needed some high output lights on my loader so I can see what is in front of the loader properly. I picked up these LED lights about 6 months ago, and finally have a good spot for them! I am running them on a direct line to a separate 2200mah 3s Lipo. This way, I get direct current and I am not stealing from the loaders power source. The battery does fit easily along side the 5000mah 3s Lipo I am using to power the loader. Each battery I am using is a GensAce Lithium Polymer (lipo) battery. It combines a total of 31 pieces with a total of 23 picks with the S-64F Air-Crane (25,000lb max capacity) and 4 picks with the Bell 214B-1. Structure 6016 spans across the Knipple Glacier to 6017 making it the tightest wire and longest span in North America with a length of 1.4 miles (2.2-km) with the glacier sitting about 2,000 feet below. At 05:30 Thursday morning, the Aurora Borealis passed through over Power Camp. At 09:56, Bubba set its last 132nd single steel monopole tower just below the Knipple Glacier. The Brucejack Gold Mine is located just North of Stewart, British Columbia and just 25 miles from the Alaskan border. Pretium Resources Inc. plans to start commercial production in 2017 with an estimated 6.9 million ounces of gold and an anticipated 18-year lifespan. The company believes the mine will produce at least US$2.36 billion of gold. In the six-month construction window for this project, about 20 million pounds of concrete and 5.3 million pounds of steel were moved requiring 391 tower picks from the S-64F & S-64E Air-Crane. The completion of this project wouldn’t be possible without a team effort from Surveyors, Engineers, Geologists, Blast crews, foundations to include the rebar benders, truck drivers, drillers, all the many support helicopter crews, the amazing staff of cooks at camp, housing staff, maintenance personal, security, and all those crazy lineman crawling around up on the towers, and many others not mentioned. It has truly been a privilege for us all working in these remote areas of Northern British Columbia.

Click Here To Subscribe! ► http://bit.ly/JOovvU - Random scenes of mudding.. In this video I am testing my Heavy Hauler in different scenarios. Climbing, Mudding, Soft Soil Traction & Crawling. Recently I did a motor swap on the "Frankenhauler" 6x6. I upped the torque to a Tekin 45t Brushed motor. I have also added some side box lights that are running on a separate 3s Lipo battery. The truck is running on a 2s 4200mah Short Pack from GensAce. If you would like an "up close " look at the Frankenhauler click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBzmnrvv02c This truck is a Hybrid of a few different vehicles. Original Running Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3KI_... Mining for Sustainable Development: the value of IGF's MPF Asssessment

07:12
Mining is often left out of conversations about sustainable development. But a dedicated group of people is working to ensure that the impacts of mining are reduced and that the benefits are shared. The Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) offers member governments the opportunity to have their policies, laws and regulations assessed by experts. The IGF's MPF Assessment identifies strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement by comparing existing practices with the ideals laid out in its flagship Mining Policy Framework. Suriname -- one of IGF's founding members -- is currently revising its mining policies and requested assistance from the IGF Secretariat. A team flew down in September 2016. This is what we learned.
