The double crochet stitch is the second most popular stitch. That is why it is so important to learn and understand how it works. I start this tutorial by explaining where to place the first double crochet stitch in the foundation chain. This is helpful because if the placement is not correct the crochet project will not form correctly, or look right in the end. If you have any special crochet video requests let me know by posting a comment in the comments section below. I would love to hear your ideas! (Update!) 08/20/2018 I wrote out the loom knit pattern for everyone that expressed trouble with the video not being clear. Click the blog link and scroll down. http://www.goodknitkisses.com/loom-knit-ripple-and-ridge-afghan/ On of my biggest requests has been how to loom knit the chevron stitch. Wait no longer! Learn how to knit the Bernat Ripple and Ridge Knit Blanket from Yarnspirations featuring the new Bernat Beyond yarn! Check it out on the GKK Blog: http://www.goodknitkisses.com/loom-knit-ripple-and-ridge-afghan/ Needle knit pattern and blog LINK HERE https://goo.gl/YOjnGc The pattern falls in the EASY SKILL level for knitting. I cover all stitches, including the increase and decrease, and weaving tails so if this is your first big project you will have all skills needed in this video. If you have never knit a stitch before I do recommend learning the knit and purl with one of my slower videos first. Let’s knit this blanket together! Download your pattern at the blog link above. Remember it is a NEEDLE pattern but I will go through how to convert. It is super easy and all you need to do is print your copy and make a few notes! Yarn Bernat Beyond color Cream (7 balls). Contrast A Bernat Beyond color Slate (4 balls). Contrast B Bernat Beyond color Pumpkin (4 balls). Contrast C *For Lovey size - 1 ball each color. Loom & Supplies • LG Large Gauge loom 5/8" or 11/16" spacing with at least 48 pegs for lovey size or 139 for blanket size (Try CinDwood Looms, Kiss-looms). **You can also use this stitch pattern on any loom size with appropriate weight yarn and even change the color repeats. • scissors, tape measure to check peg spacing • Stitch markers or rubber bands, tapestry needle, loom hook Skill Level Easy Size Approx 50½" x 60" [128.5 x 152.5 cm]. (Baby “Lovey” size 15”x19”) Skills demonstrated in tutorial Double E-Wrap Cast-on Knit Stitch Purl Stitch K2tog - decrease YO - increase Bind off Weaving in ends The blanket begins with a garter border then jumps right into the ripples. The ripples are created with a simple 2 row repeat that includes the K2tog (knit 2 stitches together) increase and the YO (yarnover) decrease. That’s right only two distinct rows to learn! My video tutorial walks you through the entire pattern from start to finish. We’ll spend most of our time focusing on the 2 rows of the ripple pattern to make sure you have a good understanding of the techniques. Once you begin working, the ripples will fall off your loom quickly and you’ll reach the first color change before you know it. Then I’ll show you how to add in a new color so whatever colors you choose your transitions will be smooth. We’ll also discuss and show how to weave in the tails for color changes on a garter stitch and for the ending tail. Lots of tips included! If you need videos on basic stitches (double ewrap cast-on, knit, purl & bind-off) or other techniques, please check out my beginner tutorials on GoodKnit Kisses YouTube Beginner Loom Knit playlist. LINK: https://goo.gl/G6EVXi CAST ON HELP FOR OTHER LOOMS OR SIZES: The stitch pattern is a multiple of 13+9. Here is a running list of cast on numbers. Pick the one best suited for your loom stitch count. If you make one of these please tag me and write the size yours Ripple Afghan measures, yarn and loom you used and how many for the cast on. I will then write a blog with a chart for reference for everyone. (Listed in parenthesis is the number of repeats) CO 22 (1) CO 35 (2) CO 48 (3) CO 61(4) Co 74 (5) CO 87 (6) CO 100 (7) CO 113 (8) CO 126 (9) CO 139 *(10)* CO 152 (11) CO 165 (12) So you will have 2 pattern repeats at 35 stitches. Come loom along with me! Happy Crafting!! Kristen at GoodKnit Kisses This blog & Video is a Sponsored Post and may contain affiliate links.

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for 100 subscribers! I just want you to know that it means so much to me, knowing that all of you watch my videos and like them. So, thank you :) Sorry that this video is a little late, recently I've been having a lot of trouble with my computer. Also, sorry that some of the clips in this video are pretty blurry, my camera would not focus while I was filming. Anyways, today I'm showing you how to make a starburst granny square! This is one of my favorite things to crochet because it looks so beautiful once it's completed with the different types of stitches. I also like it because it's not your typical granny square and there are so many different color combinations that would look amazing in this pattern. To join the starburst granny squares you can watch this video! :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cyLYv7gKJM Pattern: Round 1: Ch 5. Slip stitch into 1st ch (forms a ring). Ch 3. 15 dc into ring. Slip stitch into 3rd ch of chain 3. Round 2: Ch 3. 1 puff stitch into same stitch. Ch 1. *1 puff stitch into next stitch. Ch 1* Repeat instructions between ** 14 more times (total of 16 puff stitches) Round 3: Ch 3, 1 cluster stitch into same stitch (insert into stitch 3 times). Ch 2. *1 cluster stitch into next stitch (insert into stitch 4 times). Ch 2.* Repeat instructions between ** 14 more times (total of 16 cluster stitches. Round 4: Ch 4. 2 tr into ch 2 gap from previous round. *3 dc into next ch 2 gap. 3 hdc into next ch 2 gap. 3 dc into next ch 2 gap. 3 tr into next ch 2 gap, ch 3, 3 tr into same ch 2 gap.* Repeat instructions in between ** 3 more times. When you get back to the original ch 2 gap that already has a chain 4 and 2 tr, do 3 tr into same ch 2 gap, ch 3, slip stitch into 4th ch of chain 4. Fasten off and weave in ends. Have you ever wanted to crochet a Wave Blanket that has different heights of waves across the blanket? Now is your chance for this Crochet Mountain Range Blanket. The afghan is in multiples of 34 + 21. So you can customize the sizing. Each multiple = approx 7" across. The pattern is consistent in using back loops to ensure the blanket has texture. If you prefer not to use the back loops, just ignore that and use regular stitches. Your call. Get the free pattern at: http://thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-mountain-range-blanket-tutorial/

BL = Back Loop ch = chain ch-2 = 2 chain stitches on row below at end of row you are working on FL = Front Loop foundation chain = the total amount of chain stitches to start your blanket hdc = half double crochet hk = hook rep = repeat st = stitch stitch count = the amount of stitches that you have crocheted over an entire row sts = stitches turn = turn your work so you can crochet your next row turning chain = 1 or more chain stitches made at the start of a row to bring the yarn up to height of the stitch you are about to crochet on the following row Notes: The 2 chain stitches made at the start of a row do not count as a stitch and therefore you do not crochet any stitch into the top of these 2 chain stitches when you come to the end of a row. If you do crochet stitches into the top of the 2 chain stitches your blanket sides will become uneven and not straight. When crocheting with the half double crochet stitch the chain 2 NEVER counts as a stitch, the 2 chain stitches are purely used for the purpose of bringing the yarn up to the height you need to start crocheting the half double crochet stitch. To alter the size of this blanket pattern you can add as many chain stitches to your foundation chain; make an even amount of chain stitches. If you are making the blanket for a particular piece of furniture, make your foundation chain to the width you want and check the width by laying over the piece of furniture so you know it's the correct size. To get the length right, follow the pattern rows until you have the right length that you need. To start the blanket, leave a 30 cm yarn tail and make your foundation chain to the width you want. If you are making the same size of mine, ch 152 loosely. Row 1: 1 hdc into 3rd ch from the hk, 1 hdc into each ch st across to the end. (150 sts) Note: If you started off with a different amount of chain stitches on your foundation chain to mine then at the end of Row 1 your stitch count will be 2 less than the amount you started off with on your foundation chain. For Example: You made a foundation chain of 302 ch sts, then at the end of Row 1 you will have 300 sts because 2 ch sts are skipped at the start of Row 1 to create a turning chain to bring your yarn up to the height for the half double crochet stitches you have crocheted. The amount of stitches you have at the end of Row 1 will remain the same right throughout the pattern now so at the end of all following rows you will have the same amount of stitches on every row providing you DO NOT add stitches into the top of the 2 chain stitches at the end of rows. Row 2: ch 2, turn, 1 hdc into FL of 1st st, 1 hdc into FL of each st across to the end; making your last st into FL of last hdc (not into the ch-2). Row 3: ch 2, turn, 1 hdc into BL of 1st st, 1 hdc into BL of each st across to the end; making your last st into BL of last hdc (not into the ch-2). Rows 4 to 108: Rep Rows 2 and 3; making the last row a Row 2. Row 109: ch 2, turn, (crochet into both top loops of each st for this row) 1 hdc into 1st st, 1 hdc into each st across to the end. Finish off. Weave yarn tails in behind stitches on the back/wrong side of the blanket. http://youtu.be/jdpjDBZsGYg

We captured a frequency that makes lightning come from the sky: Boogie Makes Lightning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SqmmiEXH4M In this video we will take a deeper look at geo-engineering and the possibility of scalar wave technology possibility emitted from the sun simulator or even from Tr3B or drone technology. It's no secret that the TR3Bs are behind the sun like worker bees but have you ever thought that they could be apart of an advanced scalar wave generator technology? If the TR3Bs aren't fully responsible for the scalar waves noticed throughout our skies then they must be assisting the sun simulator in generating these scalar waves. Maybe these drone ships are responsible for merely spreading these scalar waves out throughout the atmosphere. HAARP is the HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) was a little-known, yet critically important U.S. military defense project which generated quite a bit of controversy over its alleged weather control capabilities and much more. Though denied by HAARP project officials, some respected researchers allege that the electromagnetic warfare capabilities of the project were designed to forward the US military's stated goal of achieving "Full-spectrum Dominance" by the year 2020 and of "Owning the Weather in 2025" Others go so far as to claim that HAARP technologies have been and continue to be used for weather control, to cause earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, to disrupt global communications systems, and more. In recent years I've started to realize that this program may in fact work in perfect conjunction with project aurora which is a stealth drone and aircraft black budget project owned and operated by the military. Many times on this channel we've not only caught but tracked many stealth aircrafts from the aurora project as they practiced their cloaking in clouds and holographically projected images in the sky and all around their group to hide their platoons positions directly above our heads and under the noses of the populus. The aurora project has come along way since we were kids and it's only a matter of time until they are sitting on our shoulders or tucked away in our pockets without us knowing. Their stealth movements are only becoming better by the day and undetectable to the human eye. It's absolutely amazing and money well spent in my personal opinion. So here I am out on the porch today and it took me a while but I finally noticed the consistencies in the clouds. Those consistencies were nothing less than impressions left by scalar waves. If you're new to scalar wave technology then just picture repeating ripples in the clouds. The same as you would find in the pond after throwing a rock. Now image if you were you were to take two rocks and throw them on opposite ends of the pond. Where those ripples would converge is the point of convergence and where major storms would occur. Now imagine that instead of rocks thrown in the pond it were ELF and VLF waves being cast into the sky. In this lesson the sky would be the pond the point of convergence would be directly over your head or the eye of a hurricane, tornado, lightning storm, earthquake...YES or even volcanic eruption. HAARP is capable of all those things and more. Of course there are far more advanced and capable technologies for creating volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and even tsunamis but yes, HAARP is capable of all that and more.
