Hey Clashers! What's the deal with engineered bases in clan wars?! In this episode I highlight what an engineered base is, what we can really gain from analyzing the war map (spoiler, nothing!), what a .5 is, and whether or not I think it is a good or a bad thing. Also, what do you think of this "quick take" format? Do you think I should make it a regular weekly series? Interested to hear your feedback! Enjoy!

Beating the system to make it easier for you in a match up is why people "engineer" or "totally neglect" a base. It's weak and I look forward to SC matching engineered bases against each other. That would be super interesting for those players. Like campers on video games. Put them up against each other and the game ends 0 to 0 and you're still lazy.
i am still confused on how this is effecting so much. How do engineer clans win if they lose to their defense? like what happens when a normal clan go against a engineer clans? shouldn't the normal clan be able to win since the bases are basically 3 stars everytime?
EDIT: I watched another video and I realized what it is. I have not been in a clan (and for a while) so I forgot that you only have 2 attacks and you normally attack your equal but if they are a th9 with th6 defenses they are lower down, meaning an actual th6 has to defend against th9 max troops which is impossible.
I completely disagree, we're facing an Asian clan with 3!!! max th11's with engineered bases. We have the same number of regular th10s and th9s (no regular th11s). Surprisingly they have a 20 win war streak... how is that close to being fair?
, I,ve been struggling with long l
ist of troops whenevr in CW attacks (for Good Attack I've to scroll entire list alot of times which cause a bad impact on my Attack). please loud ur voice in this regard. Thankx
Imagine a football game where the offense is always pro NFL players, but the defense is always played by college players. There's no competition. With 0.5 bases a 3 star is a given. My analysis... consider 2 end members: 1-- all bases are maxed, 2--all bases are 0.5s. In end member 2 every base will three star each other and clan wars a deterministic/pointless. In scenario 1 clan wars are challenging and rewarding to those with strategical skills in gameplay. One of these end members is good, the other isn't worth time. Engineered and 0.5 bases are perfectly fair and strategic, but also perfectly stupid and present poor gameplay. Currently COC is driving players towards scenario 2 because that's what works for players. Time to turn the wheel and start driving towards end member 1. Until then I'm opted out of clan wars. I'll play multiplayer where I can select an engaging opponent.
I share your thoughts! We just lose 14 win streak against engineered clan . Got 3 stars from big guy but when th9 vs th9 attack they show how pathetic they are on equal opponents.👎🏼

Having fun yet ? As easy as taking candy from a baby !
Ash, you sound like my grand dad, instead of talking about the serious issue, you are saying, "Oh engineered clans, whats the fun? don't do it honey". And you think they are gonna stop this? we have all th8 in our clan, we met a clan with all engineered th9, we lose our win streak, does that sounds funny????
supercell should add a filter system before entering a clan war....those townhall with COMPLETE and upgraded defenses(regardless of their offense) at their current townhall can enter the war....if the system detected that a player lack in defensive building at his current townhall level, they will advise to build and upgrade first before they can join the war........with this we can prevent engineered bases from joining and exploiting offensive advantage like what happening now in clan wars.....fairplay gaming will restore for sure.....just sayin.....
Please do not limit people's ability to build their bases the way they
want. Engineering bases is not cheating. It's using the AI in the best
way you can. Much like you use the AI in building bases and attacking
bases. This is just using the AI to give better war Matchups. This is
not unfair or underhanded at all. It's smart. And to restrict this is to
limit the very thing that makes the game the most enjoyable - the
freedom to build a base however you want. Mods are illegal because they
are an outside source, but using the AI inside the game to help you do
better is the very core of the game itself.
I personally don't care if someone engineers a base. I fail to see how it's unfair when everyone can do it. Same applies to how some people consider being a .5 is cheating (cause suddenly not building new defenses and focusing on walls is against the rules). I actually laugh every time somebody says that! Yes, engineered bases give that clan an edge in war, but it also leads to a lot of boring wars. So there's give and take. My clan lost several wars to clans with engineered bases. It is what it is. Sometimes we didn't even both attacking if the matchup was too lop-sided. If that's what the opposing clan considers fun for war, so be it. It's their prerogative. That said, Supercell already tried adding offensive troops in for war weight in the December 2015 Update. It didn't last long as match-making was WORSE! It was a horrible addition on top of the elimination of free TH Shields. I'm glad Supercell fixed that match-making issue to make .5 relevant again. In one of the recent updates, now even the TH itself adds war weight. Not a lot, but a little. Not sure if that weight needs to be boosted even more or not. Time will tell....
This is a nice subject to discuss Ash. It's fresh and isn't the same ol' thing....Keep going with it if you can keep the content fresh. Maybe interview some people that have engineered bases.
Ash i would like to say that i love your videos and seeing this video I would love to give a idea. Th8.5s or th9.5s are fair play in my eyes however seeing these no defense guys who can take out guys 20 places up in the war map is plan unfair. My way to fix the issue is to have Level requirements to be in war. For example a th9 must be atleast lvl 95 to be in war. This would allow regular th9s to be in war but however the enginerred bases wouldnt be allowed to war because of them building no defense. Because they build no defense they cant gain enough xp to be in war! If you can make a video with your take on my idea i would be grateful. Its a issue that needs to be stopped with a perfect idea to stop it. Also it will finally give a point to levels inside clash of clans since thrre is honestly no real point right now.
you should have a minimum war weight based on townhall level and a range above that minimum based on def/off upgrades. it's crap that you can be a th10 matched up as a th7. Giving a player a war weight minimum based on townhall level, it should help improve matchmaking.
btw, we are up against one of these engineered clan this war - 2 th10 that have th7 & 8 war weight. frickin' sucks. hope we win.
I took you orignal .5 advise and upgraded I love having almost Max offensive and 10 defense I'm so versatile in wars I can 3star9s all day long 2 and some times 3 star 10s and I can 1 sometimes 2 star 11s I'm having more fun on this game than in a long time i know I'm not near as good as all your 3 stars but if I had a chance to do it again I would .5 all day long 😉
Thanks for your videos. I think you're the only one that has made a video of this. I have seen it, and it is really difficult to win to these clans because you're always in disadvantage, especially if you are a small clan. We are warring against viet nam vui ve (#P0JUPR99), it is a 10vs10 and they have 2 engineered bases, of course, most of the mirrors are higher bases than ours. I think it is unfair, and SC should do something. It can be resolved by not letting you upgrade the Th untill you get all buildings. Plus I think this will help with balancing the game and the war matchups.
+Clash With Ash Clash Royale & Clash of Clans
One thing my English teachers in high school burned into our skulls was that "irregardless" is not a word. The correct word is regardless, the added "ir" is improper.
Try joining a heavier clan. I can understand the frustration 100% but I can also tell you that warring a higher weight will help avoid many (if not all) engineered Clans as they generally war with mixed Town halls including Th8 or even lower. Best of luck!
+ Clash with Ash Clash Royale & Clash of clans alright so I wasn't really worried as my clan has never faced these types of clans but a little while after I saw this video and logged on clash to check who we were facing my heart sunk. we are on 6 win war streak and just came across most unfair war ever. our opponents are on a 84 win war streak! I mean cmon their last guys is a th10 defenceless of course with max troops our last guy is a th3? if you'd like to come by and just take a look real fast our clan is She Rocka Lvl 7 clan international
You know how the forums are. Brainwashed buzzword spewing mongoloids who don't know wtf they are talking about half the time. Engineered bases have strong attacking power but are generally easy to 3-star as well. My clan was up against a clan that had a few of them. Did they 3-star us with those guys? Yes. Did we 3-star them back as well on their crappy defense base? Yes. I don't get it. Anywho, I tend to just ignore this stuff, but the forums ruin the game in the sense that everything gets nerfed before anyone has a chance to try them out. The 99 percenters of the game never get to touch anything.
Engineering isn't really that bad as you said about rules in war anything goes but cheating they may have higher troops but it is the skill in the user which makes it effective well thats just my opinion
hi ash.are you not in fb?i have no twiter account.how can i contact with you?i am great fan of yours and i have some ques about my war attacks...i am tring to contact with you since about 1 monts.but i cant.
Maybe its fun to them. Personally, I couldn't care less how someone plays and upgrades their base as long as they aren't cheating. If they want to gem a max TH11 with no defense and all max troops with little defense to speak of, that's their choice. It's not up to me or anyone else to tell them how to play or whats fun to them so let them be.
Not sure how the update has affected this, but I found that I could build structures in my village as upgrading the TH and just not touch my war base. By max offense TH8 (and mid-level defenses), I was still sporting a TH5 war base. No special upgrade priorities needed, no ignoring defenses, just didn't update my war base. Exploiting the system? Definitely. The novelty wore off, as it was a mini acct anyway, and I clicked a new base during a war, turning our bottom guy into a max TH8.
What I wonder is, with the new update showing village layout instead of war, is that the new criteria for matchmaking, negating the punk tactic I was using?
Hey ash - first, I like your videos a lot, thanks for doing this.
Second, what do you think supercell are doing about MOD, my clan are loosing wars to clans that clearly are using mod on fake accounts.
biggest unfair advantage with engineered bases is that long time players cant "undo" their defences, to match engineered bases. Doubt it will last long, SC will eventually start using offence in war weight and then there will be less/no advantage for engineered bases.
I would just compare it to any game or sport. There is a reason why leagues try to combat individuals or teams from doing anything that would allow a competitive advantage over those playing with a fair play mindset. and just like those sports, games, etc. SC will eventually catch up to what is giving that advantage and try to limit it as best they can.
if they do a fair fight they may lose they just engineer their base so they can steamroll better bases and according to math good clan should do this for about half and they can attack all bases with overpowered attack and non engineered bases just need to attack weaker bases and should steamroll these bases even more and only way for opponent clan to catch up is to take a fair fight which is harder than a cheesy fight another thing is that you don't lose resources in war base so attacking is more important with good resources they can get defenses faster and lower players or clan baby may upgrade their attack first then it will help them to do better in war and they will go faster and their trophies levels aren't what to care now for them as it only affect few % of warring clan power to calculate matches also some clans have best players that have outmatched offense and defense that would be helpful if some player engineer their base to attack these guys so result is engineered base is just one of the base building strategy
actually i got a second account who is a engineered base, the point is to help in war. Because even if its getting 3 star all the time i can 3stars 2 higher village in clan war and its help a lot (in 15vs15)
Ashlain can u please add a CC(Text) in english, cuz u r like a rapper mann... too fast for me, i dont get it lol, and because english is not my main language... so i need to read it to understand it.. (lol im noobz) pleasee ashlain...
lol. Sorry Audi! I will add CC text to these types of videos if I continue to do then. We also have fan contribution so that others can help CC my videos if they feel inclined to do so! Thanks for watching anyway! :)
Lol wooow, wtf is up with people being so rude on ur channel? Omg, people need to chill out! Great video, I have a lvl5 engineered base, just doing it for fun since I have a "Normal" th9. Kinda always wanted to try it out since I got beat by one lol .
For those dissing on Ash here, he took his own personal time to sit down by a computer/laptop and edit the video as such to, idk, maybe try and make up for the short video? Who knows, not y'all. So keep quiet or simply leave? Thanks. Great vids Ash! Huge fan and fellow member of EN 👊👍
+HunterDaBoss s You tell me if "Those pop ups were f***ing annoying" is constructive enough. Last time I checked, constructive criticism was using words to better someone using kind and understandable words. Thanks for your reply, have a great "constructive" day.
!00% Completely agree. That is exactly how I feel about those types of bases/players. They want elite level war troops just to go up against new/rookie bases in war. They give up easy 3 stars to opponents just to gain a slight advantage, hoping that the match-up allows the engineer to 3 star the top bases of the opponent. An analogy is a 6'6" person playing a 5'9" in a game of basketball. The disadvantaged player will have to possess a disproportionate amount of skill to overcome the opponent. Will never understand how this type of competition would be fun.
After partnering with Wirex, the company was able to add XRP token support to its Visa card. Subsequently, the number of sign-ups and transactions on the platform had a considerable boost.
The very fine qualities of XRP continue to pull users and firms towards itself with the latest addition of Bitcoin Superstore. Earlier this year, Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple said the only way of XRP decoupling from Bitcoin influence is through mass adoption.
This movement has supported the saying that the token has more utility than predicted and in fact the firm pushed up ahead and donated millions for humanitarian causes and charity. The first feedback was not that big, however judging from the most recent development Ripple is enjoying the last piece of the cake.
With the above announcement by Bitcoin Superstore via their twitter handle, users can almost in an instant complete settlements with XRP while purchasing from different retail outlets. These outlets being the leading ones like eBay, Amazon and others. If you choose to go for this option remember that XRP in the past has given out results of being cheap for both the merchant offering to accept the token and the user.
Or, even shorter, build a massive, level playing field in which assets can compete to bridge payments, then try to make XRP a winner on that playing field.
This is an ambitious, maybe even crazy, plan. But Ripple has raised tens of millions of dollars, has over a hundred full time employees, and our successes to date speak for themselves. That is, of course, no guarantee of success.
